Weekly HSBI and DUO Token Giveaway, Week 54!

I always enjoy my Sunday mornings around here. It's always a bit quieter outside so I can enjoy some good coffee in the backyard. I have a few more lemons that are getting ripe on the tree and my tomatoes are starting to produce again a lot more heavily as things are starting to warm up a little. It should be a nice sunny day here, so I'm looking forward to it!

Time to get into my weekly giveaway like I have done each Sunday for over a year now!

First a quick review of some of the most popular tipping tokens used in our Hive ecosystem. Looks like PIZZA came out on top as the most most popular! Thanks for all of the input everyone, I'm putting together a post about tipping tokens and all of this data will definitely help out! Many people mentioned more than one, so I used up to two choices per person to make things more interesting.

PIZZA

I have used PIZZA as a tipping token since I started posting on Hive over two years ago now. I never did a real deep dive into the token until recently and found out that there is a power up day every 14th day of the month. Also those who hold sufficient PIZZA tokens staked can receive curations as well. Exactly how it all works I need to figure out before I write up my final post on the tokens! DUO

Many chose DUO token, which is greatly appreciated. I'm of course a bit biased on this one, but it's the tipping token that rewards you for using it. You give a tip to someone and you get the same amount in your account as well. You need to have 500 staked DUO to unlock this call, and the more staked DUO you have the bigger the tip becomes!

BBH

This is a great tipping token from @bradleyarrow that not only allows tipping but a drip of tokens each Saturday depending on how many you hold. I currently have 50K of these which allows me 50 tips calls a day, which is great because I never exhaust them! LOLZ

I have used LOLZ since I started here on Hive just like PIZZA. I even started stacking enough and delegating other tokens to the project to earn more LOLZ. I still have a lot of tokens delegating to the as a matter of fact! I currently have 6,250 of them roughly, and for more info on the token you can check their site: https://lolztoken.com . I give these out every day, I think I have ten calls a day if I remember correctly. Thanks for recommending this token to @servelle , @crazyphantombr , @tortangkahoy , @henruc , @ladymisa , @monsterbuster and @vaynard86 .

PIMP

PIMP is a token that I personally really like and I'm working towards getting 50K staked this year. You can get multiple calls a day depending on how much you stake, and I believe the first call starts at 1000 staked PIMP. These tokens are backed by physical silver and by BTC as well, which is a pretty cool idea in my eyes. Thanks to my friends @davedickeyyall , @geneeverett , @silverd510 , @silvertop and @whywhy for this recommendation!

GIFU

GIFU here on Hive Engine isn't really GIFU, it's swap.gifu. GIFU itself exists on the Binance Chain, however if you pile up enough swap.gifu here on Hive you can get a curation daily and at one million tokens held you can tip 20 swap.gifu to someone every day. I only have about 100K of these, but I'm working towards that one million mark! Thanks for this recommendation by @lumpiadobo , @davedickeyyall and @logen9f !

BEER

BEER is very commonly used tipping token that I don't really understand all that well to be honest. I know I have one call a day, but I'll have to do a deep dive this week sometime to figure it out as part of my research. I haven't seen it used as much lately except for by some of us who have been here for awhile now. Thanks for the recommendation to @alexvan and @tengolotodo !

LUV

LUV is another token that I have used for a very, very long time. Once you have 750 of them you can use ten calls a day and also earn the title of love legend. It gets you a badge on Peakd! Prices on this token has been really low as of late so for less that $0.04 you could become a love legend! INDEED

LADY

LADY is commonly used by the ladies of Hive. I personally haven't used it since I'm a man and the fit just felt a little funny. I believe this one was created by @silversaver888 , a good friend of mine as well. I do have a small stack of these and I always keep them when I'm tipped! Thanks to @katriel1 for this recommendation.

HUESO

I hate to admit it, but I don't know a whole lot about this project. It is used by many of my friends in the Latin American world and HEUSO translated to English means bone. Another I will have to do a deep dive on before I finish up my tokens post! Thanks for the recommendation to @neblomax !

HBIT

HBIT is a call you can use to mine HBIT and a few potential bonus tokens. You can use it on your own posts or someone else's. It's been around for some time, but I'm sad to say I never really understood the details. I'll have to look into this one a little closer as well! Thanks to @knightmarey !

Thanks everyone for all of the input. It's a good start to get my post rolling this week! I have always been a fan of tipping tokens, some are of course more valuable than others. When I put together my final post I'll have costs included in there as well. Thanks again!

The Giveaway

I will be giving out one prize of five (5) HSBI. Second and Third prizes will be 2 DUO tokens, the token I recently launched with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman . What is your favorite all time video game?

Right now, I'm playing the Mario series on the switch, we began with Odyssey, then Wonder, now we're playing Galaxy. These are all games that require a lot of time and skill, but with diligence can be completed!

But my all-time favorite video game is... Mario RPG!

All time favourite video game would have to be FIFA or now known EAFC. Throughout the years, it had evolved so much in terms of graphics and gameplay. Enjoyed growing old with it but whenever I get a game console like Playstation, the first game to buy will be FIFA.

Holy crap that's a lot of tokens to giveaway in one post. My brain hurts just trying to organize it all. Favorite video game, uh depends on which era in my life. As a kid I loved Super Mario 3. As an adult Neverwinter was pretty sweet for a but there. I don't play y it anymore though.

Oh wow favorite all time videogame is very difficult for me to choose because there were several I loved during several different times in my life. I think I will pick Diablo 2 because I had so much fun with it over many many months of my childhood.

Enjoyed sport sims as a kid, scary to think things like NHL and John Madden and FIFA have been going on since early 90’s, but a game from the arcades - Gauntlet was my favourite as it was the first game we could all play togther

I remember so vividly playing Diablo, the first one, and then Diablo II which was so addictive. Diablo 3 perhaps was the best from the series, but the one that I will never forget is Diablo 2.

Favourite game, definitely Runescape. I haven't played it for years, but spent proportionally the most hours of my life on it. When I look back at it, a lot was just click, collect and run around as it was a mmorpg. But yea, good times!

I used to play PES (pro Evolution Soccer) before switching to FIFA on PlayStation. LOve the game before I got married.

There are a lot of video games that I like from Resident Evil to Final Fantasy but growing up I was hooked on Goonies video game on Family Computer. I also liked the movies and the game was very fun to play. To this day, I still listen to the music.

For me it has to be Final Fantasy VII

But I will add an honourable mention to KOTOR2 & Divinity Original Sin 2 as well as Legend of Zelda.

I hate to think how many hours have been sunk here but all of those moments were happy ones.

My favourite video game has to be rocket league. It's car soccer, and it's as fun as it sounds!
It's so damn competitive and addictive. Easy to play but hard to master.
I had to deactivate my Xbox live account so I would stop playing it, as it started to take up to much of my time haha.

That sounds awesome! Don't think I ever played that one, but I grew up the late eighties and spent most of the 90's living in South America and the Caribbean. Sounds like fun though!

This is a hard one. I've played so many games growing up. I'm tempted to go with a classic like Tetris, Mario, or even the OG Pokemon on the gameboy, but in terms of sheer amount of time spent, I'd have to say World of Warcraft.

I always enjoyed playing pinball in the arcade and got quite good a the Alien one. As far as video games, I also got good the the Popeye game in the arcade. When it comes to console games, my all time favorite is Gauntlet. On computers, I guess I played Diablo and Might & Magic the most. Online, I now play Splinterlands more than anything because I love Collectable Card Games.
