The Most Common Mistake Women Make With Their Work Out Lifestyle
I know a girl who has been working out since late 2018. Although she got real serious amd consistent in 2022 and had kept it up till now. She used to be fat and had always been someone who adds weight very easily and has more difficulty losing it, but since she got consistent she's losg a lot of weight and cannot be called fat any more, she's now more of just chubby.
Just some days back she was telling me about how she needs to do some treatment for her hormones because the doctor said her hormones are a mess and imbalanced, and that if she doesn't work on it now it might lead to something called PCOS.
She said the reason she went to the doctor in the first place was because she wasn't menstruating even though she's not pregnant, that she can see it once in two or three months instead of every month. She said it has especially been worse this year.
Once she said this I remember something I had read on a little online research, that thing said if you're working out and building muscles but you're not eating properly it is going to affect your sleep, you wouldn't sleep properly and this would in turn affect your hormones.
And this is a girl I know, she has complained about having poor sleep a lot and has told me how she hardly eats because she's watching her weight. Yet she woeks out in the gym almost every day building her legs and glutes and doing aerobics.
I started asking her hoe her period was when she had not started working out, she said she used to swe it every month back then, but sometimes it takes an extra week or days before coming.
This clearly means she's had this tendency even before she started working out. But I think working out certainly made it worse because after she started working out it became worse, plus this year has been the worst for her when it comes to her menstruation.
And guess what? This year she has been practicing OMAD (One Meal A Day), which means she has been having only one meal and nothing more every day while still working out and building muscles.
All of these brings me to the huge mistake women make
Women are the ones who mostly make this mistake. When a man wants to take up the workout lifestyle he mostly decides to build muscles and he immediately knows that he needs food in order to build muscles, this information usually comes very quickly amd easily to him, even though he's fat.
If he's fat he usually thinks he'll workout, build muscles and eat and when he has the muscles he'll shed off fat somehow.
But for women, because they can't build muscles like men can, they never embark on the workout journey thinking they want to build large muscular arms, shoulders, chest, back, etc (except the pros, of course).
Women mostly workout to be fit or to lose weight, and if they do only aerobic they could be good but a lot lf them like to add building glutes and legs into the equation and this is where they can make a mistake, and the mistake is they don't think they need food to make it work.
They even think they're supposed to avoid food so that they don't get fat. But that's not how it works. The glutes and legs are muscles and workouts that build muscles tears down muscles in order to repair it and make it bigger. This is what muscle building is all about. And that repair is being done by food and sleep.
So imagine what happens after you have torn down your muscles, and you don't eat properly and don't sleep properly as a result of poor feeding. How would those muscles get repaired?
This is surely going to have some effects on your general well-being. As mentioned above, affect your hormones, increase your stress hormones: cortisol, and all these can lead to unwanted situations.
So, ladies, work on this. If you want to build glutes and legs it's always best to lose weight first with dieting and cardio and after losing weight you can now start building muscles because you can now eating freely to repair your muscles without worrying much about fat.
But if you have to build muscles without first losing weight you have to remember to eat enough for muscle repairs and good sleep. Prioritize protein because protein doesn't support fat gain as much as carbs.

This is really an eye-opening post to our ladies who might be thinking of working out. There is no crime in it for a woman to want to lose weight, but it is important to go through the normal procedure and do the right thing as when due. I really felt for the lady for going through that stress of hormone imbalances. She just needs to put a stop to it and think of a better way she can lose weight.

That is the thing. Most don't consider building muscles. They believe it is for men and it would make them look awful.
What kind of meal should one take frequently to build muscles. I believe gyming alone is not a enough but the kind of diet one takes matters a lot.
A highly proteinous and carbohydrates. Then one should prioritize real food rather than junk 🫠
In that case just normal food with enough carb and protein as well as fruits but no junks?
That's right 👍🏾
