Hello friends, this is my first time in the Lifestyle community so I give you my most sincere greetings, I want to share here a little summary of what was my day today, where I had to shop for vegetables and groceries at the fair that is held every Sunday here in the province of Matanzas, Cuba.

Well, it all started with a walk of several kilometers along the coast of the bay of Matanzas to reach the fair in the Plaza de "El Tenis" as it is known by the name of the place where it is held. I took advantage of the walk to do some morning exercise🏃.

Whenever I arrive at the fair I always like to go through the whole fair before jumping on the first offer, because on one occasion I made a purchase at the first stand I saw and further ahead I found a cheaper offer and even with better quality vegetables than the ones I initially bought because I was in a hurry 😂. So I said, "That dog won't bite me anymore!!!", and since then I do a tour, anyway the fair is not that big.

This carrot stand had a bunch of carrots at 300 CUP (Cuban Pesos) and because of the quality I considered it a good offer compared to the other stands, however, even though I like them a lot, I had to leave them for another occasion because I had to prioritize other purchases.

At the ají cachucha and culantro stand I bought a glass of ají for 100 CUP and a bunch of culantro for 60 CUP.

In this stand I bought the tomato where they had it at 60 CUP, one of the lowest offers of the fair, in other stands they were at 80 and 100 CUP.

I like cabbage, but considering the size and the price they had (150 CUP) I was not convinced and I left it for another occasion.

In this lettuce and chard stand I found the best offer of the whole fair, 50 CUP per bunch, while in the rest of the stands they were at 100 CUP per bunch.

Here I bought 5 pounds of yucca at 20 CUP a pound, although they look a little skinny jj they were really tender, so I decided to buy them, and later I would realize that I made a good choice, because they softened very well jj

In the end I went home with tomatoes, cilantro, aji cachucha, cucumbers, chard, lettuce and yucca.

Sunday is the best day to do this type of shopping because the fair has the lowest prices, the rest of the days of the week you have to buy in other stalls where the price is double and sometimes triple compared to those of the fair.

When I got home, the first thing I did was to prepare a mixed salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and chard, which I enjoyed very much.

I haven't really discovered a vegetable that I don't like yet, I like them all jjj, so whenever I can I plan to go out and buy them on fair days.

Hola amigos, es mi primera vez en la comunidad Lifestyle por eso les doy mis más sinceros saludos, quiero compartir por acá un pequeño resumen de lo que fue mi día de hoy, donde lo que tocó fue hacer compras de verduras y viandas en la feria que se hace todos los Domingos acá en la provincia de Matanzas, Cuba.

Bueno, todo comenzó con una caminata de varios kilómetros bordeando parte de la costa de la bahía de Matanzas hasta llegar a la feria en la Plaza de " El Tenis " cómo se le conoce por el nombre del lugar donde se realiza. Aproveché la caminata para hacer un poco de ejercicio matutino🏃.

Llegando a la feria del "El Tenis"

Siempre que llego a la feria me gusta recorrerla completa antes de lanzarme a la primera oferta, pues en una ocasión hice una compra en el primer puesto que vi y más alante encontré una oferta mas barata e incluso con verduras de mejor calidad que las que compré inicialmente por estar apurado 😂. Así que dije: "Ese perro no me muerde más!!", y desde entonces hago un recorrido, de todas formas la feria no es tan grande.

Este puesto de zanahorias tenía el mazo a 300 CUP (Pesos Cubanos) y por la calidad consideré que era una buena oferta comparada con los demás puestos, sin embargo a pesar de que me gustan bastante tuve que dejarlas para otra ocasión pues debía priorizar otras compras

• En el puesto del ají cachucha y el culantro compré un vaso de ají a 100 CUP y un mazo de culantro a 60 CUP*

En este puesto compré el tomate donde lo tenían a 60 CUP, unas de las ofertas más bajas de la feria, en otros puestos estaban a 80 y 100 CUP

Acá compré 5 libras de yuca a 20 CUP la libra, aunque se ven un poco flacuchas jj realmente estaban tiernas, por lo que me decidí por ellas, y más tarde me daría cuenta de que hice una buena elección, pues se ablandaron muy bien jj

Al final me fui a casa con tomates, culantro, ají cachucha, pepinos, acelgas, lechugas y yuca

El Domingo es el mejor día para hacer este tipo de compras pues en la feria se encuentran los precios más bajos, el resto de los dias de la semana hay que comprar en otros puestos de venta donde el precio es el doble y a veces el triple comparado con los de la feria.

Al llegar a casa lo primero que hice fue prepararme una ensalada mixta de tomates , pepinos y acelga, la cual disfruté mucho

Realmente no he descubierto todavía la verdura que no me guste, todas me gustan jjj, por eso siempre que puedo me planifico para salir a comprarlas los días de feria.
