Weekly HSBI and DUO Token Giveaway, Week 56!

It's been another busy week, one full of catching up with everything only to find that I was behind in my engagement here on Hive. The real world does come fist though! I just finished up my coffee for this morning so it's time to get this giveaway post put together.

This used to be my easiest post of the week, but as it's grown it takes more and more time to ready. There were 42 participants this week, so it may take time to get through it all! As long as you all are enjoying it, I'll keep it going! The entry question for last week was in regard to your favorite sandwich. So the top responses are at the top and then working the way down to some that are just interesting and look great.

Ham and Cheese

The top choice this week was ham and cheese. No one specified hot or cold, but I like the hot version personally! It's really hard to go wrong with one of these, what a classic. Hamburgers are really good when done right. I've heard arguments both ways as to if it is indeed a sandwich or not, I say yes. I love good burgers with high quality meat, and I usually load them up with jalapenos too! lol

Reuben Sandwich

I love Reuben sandwiches, with lots of sauerkraut. They usually come with either corned beef or pastrami, personally, I like both at the same time. It usually has Russian dressing but I usually get spicy mustard instead. What a great sandwich! Thanks to @melinda010100 and @silvertop for this one!

Philly Cheesesteak

I lived in Philadelphia for several years and didn't care much for the classic cheesesteak from Pat's or Gino's, they use cheese whiz on theirs. I like good cheese personally, and so does @silverd510 . Here's how he likes his: "the classic cheesesteak freshly shaved rib-eye chopped up with fried onions with and ONLY with Cooper sharp cheese on a classic semolina hoagie roll. " Sounds awesome! I usually add jalapenos because I love spicy! Thanks also to @doombot75 !

BLT's are always good, I like them with avocado as does @rainbowdash4l . @gwajnberg is a fan too, do you like the avocado as well? I don't eat bacon all that often so it's always a tasty treat!

Lomo Sandwich

I have had one of these before in Argentina and they are tasty! Thinly slice Lomo steak with any other combos you want to add with chimichurri sauce. Try one out if you ever have the chance, you won't be sorry! Thanks @lanzjoseg !

This Portuguese specialty looks amazing! It's layers of hot meats with cheese in bread smothered with a hot tomato and beer sauce and topped with an egg. Talk about one tasty treat there. This sounds amazing right about now. Thanks @olaf.gui !

And for times sake I'll have to do a quick mention of some other recommendations. @florakese likes to make a baguette with a couple ounces of chocolate inside for her kids (sounds yummy), and tuna by @okarun and @sylmarill (with egg).

A good deli sandwich was picked by @gratefuleveryday , so I guess we can add salami and cheese by @flummi97 in there too and @sacra97 with a club. Probably a turkey as well by @ronnie10 . We had a couple picks from Subway, the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki @moonthumb and tuna by @okarun .

We had a couple egg based ones that sounded pretty good too, egg and avocado on multigrain bread with olive oil by @bigorna1 . And egg and mayo by @longganisan and @blitzzzz .

Pita bread with blue cheese comes from @steemmillionaire . I love blue cheese, all varieties, so this is right up my alley. Feta is good too, I agree, but the blue cheese is the best! Another great sounding item is a sandwich with tomato spread and Iberian ham, how could that not be good? Thanks @gatet ! @helicreamarket likes melted gouda, I couldn't put that in cheese sandwiches. Just couldn't do it justice!

@geneeverett goes with a steak, forget the bread. Sounds pretty good to me too dude! And to round out the last few @vcclothing is a fan of roast pork gravy sandwich, now my mouth is watering... Lots of mayo with cheese for @yusmelys ! Tacos for @servelle , and some good chicken for @ekavieka. Last but not least ham with sauce from @angeluxx . Thanks everyone!

Now moving onto the question for this week's entry. I haven't had lunch yet, so it's going to be a food item once again!

Smart phone wise I’ve only ever used an iPhone. My girlfriend has an android style phone I can’t do anything on it.

I used iPhone for years and made the switch to Samsung a few years ago. The operating systems are very different, but on this phone it's fast and easy.

Apple! I hate samsung! Had a S3 and S4 and the phone doesnt lasted much longer! I have iphones since the 4 and I am pretty happy. My wife cant get used to iphones, so she takes a galaxy everytime and I see that the batteries are shitty btw ! Every 2 years she needs to switch them!
So i love avocados and bacon of course sweet poison 😹😹😹

I've had both but last time I went Samsung and it's been great. iPhones are a great phone too, I've had quite a few over the years, still have a couple old ones in my desk drawer!

Reading the post I remembered eating a franceshina in Porto, it's incredibly rich and hard to digest, but it's good and you don't need to eat anything else for the entire day !
My favorite smartphone brand is Xiaomi, the photo quality is good and they are reliable.

I mostly use Android, and I don't care much about the brand but the phone having good specs. At the moment I'm using a Tecno phone and it's good, but I want to change it for another one. I was thinking about an Infinix, a Redmi or an Honor. I also used iPhone a couple years ago and it was a very good experience.

I personally like the smaller size smart phones. I also like Apple, so the phone I am responding from right now. My favorite is the newer version of the iPhone SE 2020 With 256 gigs!👍😊

For size it's tough to beat Apple, a lot of the others have gotten large enough that they are awkward. I have big fingers though so the smaller ones are harder to text with 😕

I've been using a Google Pixel phone for several years, and have updated to newer versions
4 of us in my family use one and couldn't be happier. It takes great photos, too.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Pixel, but since my switch to Samsung I haven't strayed. I'll have to take a look at Pixels again, I've heard they have great cameras and OS.

My son did extensive research and decided it was the one for us. I use Google Fi as my carrier and find it quite affordable.

I have always been Android, I had Samsung a few years ago but now I have a Google Pixel and just love it. Brilliant camera on it too!

Congrats everyone, I missed last week and whilst I do love a hot ham and cheese toastie. I reckon you can't beat a cheese and onion sandwich with salad cream!

Samsung has some good phones, I've heard a lot of good things about Pixel but haven't really looked into them yet. Of course with the tariffs in place electronics are going to be expensive here now. So I think it might be smart to keep what I have until it gives up the ghost!

That's the problem with anything made in China in the electronics realm. I had one Huawei at one point when I was living in Puerto Rico, it was a good phone. Of course that was before smart phones! lol

I've heard good things about the Pixel, but haven't tried one out yet. Any exciting seafaring adventures as of late?

Yeah the pixel works great for me. The camera in these phone are top notch!

Heading up north to Green Island on the Grate Barrier Reef next month for a couple of nights. So just saving up for that trip atm. It makes the hot days working in a shed all worth while when I get to float around with some Marine Life

Well my cellphone journey started with a bag phone. I then had several Blackberry phones, loved the keyboards. I have then had several models of Samsung and now have a Google Pixel. I prefer Android as the OS is more open platform.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that. At one point I sent too many together and it didn't work right, so I've gone back to doing each one individually. Takes a lot longer but never seems to get confused!

so, you can do space or comma separated, but not "carriage return", which happens sometimes when assebling memo in a document. But - test and check, get your workflow down and should be fine!

Hi, I have had mostly android phones (Motorola, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi and Alcatel) and only one Iphone.

I like android more, currently I have a Xiaomi, but I'm thinking of changing it in the future for a newer model of Xiaomi or other brands like: Poco, Realme or Oppo.

Congrats to the winners!

I am using an Iphone 11. While I use the phone for almost everything (as I don’t have my own pc) and spend way too much time with my phone, I don’t feel any need to upgrade the Iphone version until this one stops working for good.
Especially with the crazy everyday prices and unstable markets - I won’t fix what is not broken ;)

Phones are going to get expensive her with the tariffs in place, I'm kind of scared to even think about getting a new one anytime soon. I usually wait until mine dies too, why spend money if you don't have too? I think I must be getting old and cheap! lol

I am totally lost because of the good food first, and a little because of the Iphone commercial in the comments.

I think it´s a US thingy and being the chauvinistic pig I am I think the EU buys smarter products....

For me it´s simple I want a phone that I can lose, break, drop in the toilet and order a new one the next day. My Redmi Note 13 might send all my data right into China but I don't care. Paying $150 allows me to break 10 of them instead of 1 Iphone or Samsung...now that is my kinda deal

As for phone brand, I don't care too much. When I want to change my phone I just look for a good one that is cheaper than most. It's usually a Xiaomi, so I'll go with that but I have used other brands.
