Self-respect should be the most important and crucial thing in every human being because I believe that if a person doesn't have self-respect then he is of no use because without self-respect a person is nowhere and sometimes lost, he cannot speak anything, he has no validation at all, but a person who has confidence and self-respect can take amazing decisions everywhere and can show himself as completely powerful because self-respect is important, this is the one thing that will make you realize what your value is and tell you a story about yourself and how much value you have, rather the one who only exists within him.
Lastly, self-respect is a very big gift, if you have such self-respect for yourself, if you can set a boundary for yourself then you will always be emotionally and mentally peaceful and you will become a very strong man and this is a very important thing, whether it is in a relationship or in a friendship, self-respect should always be there because if you do not give self-respect, if you do not give respect to each other then nothing will last for long, there are many challenges in life, but if you give such priority to self-respect then confidence will come in you, dignity will come, and you will feel that you can defeat any difficulty and you can see yourself as a winner.

Revolutionary Advances in Brain-Computer Interfaces: Synchron's Mission to Democratize Digital Connectivity
A Personal Journey: Mark Jackson's ALS and a Vision for the Future
In August 2023, Mark Jackson received a groundbreaking medical implant called the Synchron Stentrode, a minimally invasive brain-computer interface (BCI). Diagnosed with ALS, Markās motivation was clear: to utilize this emerging technology not only to regain some level of independence but also to contribute to the ongoing evolution of BCI applications. His story exemplifies the profound impact that innovative neurotechnology can have on individuals facing severe motor function loss. Inspired by Markās courage, researchers and developers are driven to make BCI technology more accessible, smarter, and intuitive.
Synchron's Vision: Ubiquity of Brain-Computer Interfaces
At the forefront of this technological revolution is Synchron, a pioneering medical device company committed to developing minimally invasive BCIs. Peter Yu, the company's senior director of neuroscience and algorithms, articulates an ambitious vision: to make brain computer interfaces as commonplace as keyboards and mice. Synchronās goal is to enable seamless, effortless interaction between the human brain and digital devices, transforming how individuals with paralysis and neurological impairments communicate and control their environments.
Redefining Neurotechnology: The Synchron Stentrode
The Synchron Stentrode is a key innovation in this movement. Resembling a standard stent, it features an electrode array on its surface designed to navigate into the superior sagittal sinusāa major vein over the motor cortex. This placement allows the device to record high-quality brain signals associated with movement intentions without requiring open brain surgery.
This breakthrough approach means that individuals like Markāwho cannot move their limbsācan still generate neural signals corresponding to their intent to move. These signals are then translated by machine learning models into digital commands, empowering users to control devices such as smartphones, tablets, and smart home environments directly through thought.
The Standardization of Human-Machine Interaction: BCI HID
A pivotal element in Synchron's strategy is the development of a shared communication standard called the Brain Computer Interface Human Interface Device (BCI HID). Much like USB or Bluetooth for physical devices, BCI HID provides a universal ālanguageā enabling BCIs to communicate effortlessly with computers and other digital devices.
Synchronās BCI HID works via Bluetooth, requiring no physical movementsāmaking it especially suitable for those with paralysis. It fosters a more intuitive user experience by allowing neural signals to be translated into commands without complex setup procedures. This standard opens the door to integrating brain control into a vast array of consumer electronic devices, paving the way for a future where neural interfaces become ubiquitous.
Mark Jackson: The First to Control an iPad via BCI HID
A historic milestone was achieved when Mark became the first person in the world to control an iPad using BCI HID technology. This feat underscores the technology's capability to enable individuals with motor impairments to operate mainstream devices effortlesslyāsimply by thinking.
Markās control over his device doesnāt require physical interaction or caregiver assistance. Instead, his neural signals, captured by the Stentrode and interpreted through the BCI system, allow him to navigate and execute commands on his iPad seamlessly. Notably, the system leverages Appleās Switch Control, an accessibility feature, making this technology both practical and user-friendly.
Enhancing Accessibility with Neural Feedback and Shortcuts
Synchronizationās integration of neural feedback mechanisms enriches user control. When Mark activates switch control, the system provides visual cuesāsuch as color-filled boxesāthat reflect the strength of his neural signals. This immediate feedback allows users to gauge their mental effort, refine their focus, and hone their ability to interact intuitively with digital interfaces.
Furthermore, by linking neural signals directly to shortcutsālike returning to the home screen, composing messages, or opening applicationsāusers can perform complex actions with a single thought. This development marks a significant leap in accessibility, enabling more natural, active engagement with technology for people with severe motor disabilities.
An often-overlooked benefit of BCI HID technology is its intrinsic privacy advantage. Unlike traditional input methods that rely on physical devices which could be intercepted or misused, neural signals are unique to the individual. This means that only the userās brain activity is involved in these commands, providing an additional layer of security and ensuring that control remains personal and protected from external interference.
The release of BCI HID by Apple signifies a monumental endorsement from a major tech industry player. It illustrates a clear commitment to developing brain-computer interfaces not just as experimental tools but as practical, accessible aids for everyday use. This integration will likely catalyze a surge in compatible devices, further expanding the ecosystem for neural control.
As this technology matures, the implications are profound. Beyond aiding individuals with paralysis, BCI interfaces could revolutionize how we interact with digital environments, making them more inclusive and responsive. The democratization of BCI technology promises a future where controlling devices with thoughts becomes commonplace, fostering independence and enhancing quality of life for millions worldwide.
Synchronization and its partners are paving the way for a paradigm shift in human-computer interaction. From Markās inspiring journey to the development of universal standards like BCI HID, the progress we are witnessing today sets the stage for an era where neural interfaces are integral to digital life. The convergence of medical innovation, industry support, and user-centered design heralds a future where technological accessibility is no longer a dream but a shared reality.

Do you think the available $SURGE in the market will be sold out in 7 days?
I need to reach my first goal of accumulating $SURGE, the first 50 $SURGE, and to get there, I'm about to do something I never would have done, at least not for another two years. But $SURGE won't leave my mind...
I'm about to power down my HP for the first time, all for $SURGE.
It takes 7 days to receive the first liquid HIVE. I would be grateful if anyone could assist me with 90 HIVE to buy more $SURGE, and the HIVE will be refunded within 7 days after I receive the liquid HIVE.
Haha. Yeah, a surge in $SURGE sales... that's what I thought too. Well, I've powered down. Let's hope I would have some to grab before it's no more at the initial sale price.
this is the same thing I am dealing with, still need to wait a few days to have my first power down available to buy Surge. Just hope it doesn't sell out quickly and Hive price doesn't tank more before power down comes out.
Haha, you're loyal to your HP. Well, I can easily recover the first liquid HIVE with 1-2 blog posts with high upvotes by setting payout to 100% power up.
You mean HP to leo.voter... I totally understand. Yeah, HP helps in curation too. I intend to stop the power down after receiving the first liquid HIVE from it.

I am glad I added a fair bit of $SURGE over the weekend. I locked in $LEO profits on Friday, before the major pullback.
After a major run, markets taking a breather is natural. $SURGE offers a way to take some money off the table, gain some yield, and then sit by until the market turns back north.
Also, with the original sell wall still in place, most of the $SURGE purchased goes to buy $LEO, which is on sale, to load up the LSTR balance sheet.
Gotta love Windows... My Bluetooth simply stopped working and wasn't even being recognized by the system. It wasn't even visible on Device Manager. After watching a lot of youtube videos and tutorials, nothing helped so I decided to look for anything out of the usual on the entire system.
That's when I found a "Unknown USB device" that was failing. I restarted that module and Bluetooth started working again.
The thing is, I don't have any USB bluetooth adapaters or whatsoever... go figure lol
A 0.01% fee does feel negligible compared to free, but psychologically, any cost can deter usersāespecially at smaller trade sizes like $230. It's less about the $0.023 and more about the friction of paying anything at all
You understand the issue well. !vote
Let me rephrase it. Is the friction of looking for the free swap smaller than paying so small on essential swap? I am interested in the whale point of view specifically, BTW.
From a whale's perspective, the friction of seeking a free swap often outweighs paying a tiny 0.01% fee. Time and convenience matter more at larger volumesā$0.023 on a $230 swap is nothing compared to the hassle of finding alternatives.
Appreciate the nudge. I'll definitely chime in on threads about large swaps and fee structures when I spot them. Always interesting to see how these dynamics play out for different traders
It is an exercise in discipline to either end your trading day in a loss or not place any trades.
If you can learn how to do both and be content.. youāve already surpassed many retail traders.
Itās not easy to sit with a loss until your next trading session.. and itās not easy to sit still and do nothing so you could as well invest in $LEO .
Absolutely, mastering the discipline to accept losses or sit out trades is a game-changer. Most traders struggle with that emotional control. Investing in $LEO during downtime could be a smart move to stay engaged with the market
Can't believe I'm getting one more chance to buy $LEO at cheap price. Only if I knew, I would have more liquid Hive. Bought #surge with everything I had.

The Great War Weekly Summary: Romania's Resilience and Ongoing Frontline Battles
Romania Stands Firm Against the German Onslaught
When Romania joined the Allies eight weeks ago, the German military temporarily halted all operations on the battlefield to address the new threat from the east. Despite facing a formidable four-nation coalition and a dire situation, Romanian forces managed to prevent the Germans from advancing further into their territory, a remarkable feat given the circumstances. Indy Neidell begins by highlighting Romania's unexpected resistance, emphasizing their crucial role in slowing down German progress.
Last week, we saw intense fighting along the Somme River. The Italian army suffered heavy casualties in their campaign, with minimal gains, and Romanian forces in Western Vojvodina and Dobrogea were pushed back. British and French troops persisted with their assault on the Somme, but little progress was achieved. British Commander Sir Douglas Haig vowed to continue attacking through the winter if necessary, despite worsening weather conditions. The ongoing battles depict a grueling and unforgiving stalemate, with heavily rain-soaked trenches and muddy terrain hampering movement.
Descriptions from the British war history paint a grim picture: Mid-October saw soldiers enduring terrible conditionsāheavy rain and fog hampered reconnaissance, with aerial patrols almost impossible. Muddy grounds, worn-out artillery, and exhausted troops created a war of attrition, with soldiers discouraged and suffering from exposure and fatigue. Despite the chaos, General Haig remained resolute, pushing for offensive actions even in these harsh conditions, driven by the strategic necessity of keeping the Germans at bay during the winter.
Meanwhile, in the Balkans, Serbian forces achieved significant success. On October 18, Serbian troops captured Broud and advanced through Bulgarian defenses, securing key positions like Variserlo and Podgoritza. Under Marshal Mishuās leadership, the Serbs broke through, despite Bulgarian efforts to defend the high ground behind the Cherna River. Bulgarian artillery utilized rolling stones to repel Serbian advances, but the Serbian army employed colorful signalingāwhite flags and flags with red and white patternsāto coordinate their attacks and avoid friendly fire.
Further north, German general Erich von Fajinhan encountered serious issues while pressing against Romanian positions near the passes of Oitoz and Vulcan. On October 15-16, brutal fighting near Kempten and Gogoh Š„Š¾Ń saw Romanian defenders holding firm at Gimish Pass and Agash, despite being vastly outnumbered and poorly equipped. By October 17, German forces managed to push through Gimish and reach Agash, advancing 10 kilometers into Romanian territory; however, Romanian forces, aided by recent reinforcements, also scored victories on the same day, stopping the Germansā progress.
The French Preparations for a Major Offensive at Verdun
On the German side, the besieged troops in Verdun faced mounting hardships. The relentless bombardments caused erosion of fortified positions, including the long-embedded, six-meter-deep Duga Mon fortress, exposing vulnerable sections due to continuous shelling and the resulting soil erosion. The German soldiers, already exhausted by constant fighting, cold, mud, and limited supplies, experienced a surge in desertions and surrender.
By October 19, the French offensive was imminent, with aerial reconnaissance confirming the readiness for a decisive barrage. German forces faced not only physical weariness but also morale problems. The escalation of attrition left many soldiersā feet frostbitten and bones buried in mud. Unknown to many German commanders was the deterioration of fortified positions like Duga Mon, once thought secure but now vulnerable due to months of sustained artillery fire.
On a different front, the situation in Greece was tense. The Allies seized control of key rail lines from Piraeus to Larisa, raising fears that King Constantine might abdicate and align more closely with the Central Powers, especially Bulgaria and Germany. The Greek population responded with protests and demonstrations, with some police even joining the crowds. Meanwhile, French naval forces under Admiral Foch took control of Greek naval assets and pressured the government for tighter control over police forces, indicating a significant diplomatic and military intervention in Greece's neutrality.
These events underscored the fragile political landscape in Greece, with allegiances and national loyalties uncertain. The Allied forces' aggressive stance, including coercion and control over Greek military and civilian institutions, shocked many observers and fueled domestic unrest. The situation exemplified how World War I was extending its reach beyond the battlefield, affecting diplomacy, internal politics, and national identities yet again.
To summarize, this week in the Great War was marked by a mix of fierce battles, strategic planning, and political tensions. The Allies made strides at Verdun despite stiff German resistance, while in the Balkans, Serbia made notable advances against Bulgarian forces. Romania continued to defy the odds, halting even the robust German assaults with minimal equipment. Meanwhile, the weather and war fatigue cast long shadows over the massacres at the Somme, emphasizing the brutal cost of this global conflict.
Despite the grim realities, the Allied powers remained committed to their offensive plans, and the relentless push in Verdun foreshadowed a significant breakthrough. Simultaneously, geopolitical tensions in Greece underscored the warās broader scope, threatening to reshape alliances and national loyalties across Europe.

The Role of Photography in World War I: The Legacy of Ernest Brooks
World War I was a pivotal moment in history, not only for its military and political significance but also for its visual documentation. It marked the first major conflict extensively recorded through photography, offering a window into the realities of warfare that had previously been largely obscured or romanticized. While the First World War was also the first to be captured largely on film, photographs played a crucial role in shaping public perception, propaganda, and historical record.
By the late 19th century, photography technology had evolved to allow for portable cameras, which became especially useful during WWI. The development of these compact cameras, such as Kodak models, enabled soldiers and journalists to document their experiences on the battlefield unlike ever before. This was particularly vital during aerial reconnaissance, where traditional scouting methods like cavalry were rendered obsolete by modern trench warfare. Photographs of trenches, troop movements, and battlefield panoramas became critical for military intelligence and public dissemination.
Despite restrictionsāsuch as bans on personal cameras for British soldiersāmany soldiers defied these rules, capturing candid images of war life. These amateur photos, often anonymous, number in the thousands and provided an unfiltered glimpse into the daily realities faced by soldiers of all nations involved in the conflict. Unlike letters, which could be censored or edited, photographs were difficult to manipulate, making them a powerful medium for authentic storytelling.
Given the influence of images, each warring nation established official photographers and filmmakers tasked with producing propaganda and documentation. The British, for instance, employed Ernest Brooks as their first official war photographer. Brooks, who was a photographer for the Daily MirrorāBritainās first newspaper to regularly publish photographsājoined the military reserve in 1915 amidst a shortage of experienced photographers. His assignments took him across the Western Front, Gallipoli, Italy, and naval operations, where he captured scenes meant to bolster national morale.
However, wartime photography was heavily censored. Restrictions limited what could be shown to the public, with an emphasis on portraying the war as heroic and controlled. Nevertheless, photographers like Brooks often faced the temptation or obligation to stage or reenact scenes they photographed, especially in the early years, to enhance dramatic effect or compensate for censorship. Brooks promised to cease such practices but still faced criticism for his earlier staging.
Photography as a Reflection of Reality and Humanity
Brooks and fellow wartographers did more than just record machinery and destruction; they captured moments of humanity amid chaos. His images include soldiers laughing through bullet holes in walls, donning gas masks, or moments of camaraderie. Such photographs humanized the soldiers and conveyed the emotional and physical toll of war, breaking from the abstract narratives often used to justify conflict.
Some photos even revealed the darker aspects of warāsuch as images of fallen soldiersāthat were usually taboo and difficult to publish due to censorship. These images served multiple purposes: they could be kept as historical records, or they could reflect an emotional or truthful response to the horrors of the front. These visuals intended not only to inform but also to evoke empathy and reflection among viewers, prompting questions about human cruelty and the dual nature of mankind.
Brooksās work extended beyond simple documentation. His photographs demonstrated artistic qualities that helped convey stories and emotions, making the images more accessible and memorable. They provided insights into everyday life for soldiersāsmiling through gunfire, wearing masks, or caring for wounded comradesārendering the war less anonymous and more relatable. His images continue to be iconic representations of WWI, embodying both the tragedy and resilience of those involved.
After the war, Brooks's career did not end; he became an official photographer for the British Royal Family and later returned to journalism. His work, however, was not without personal cost. His marriage suffered, and it is believed that he, like many veterans, experienced undiagnosed war trauma. His exact date of death remains unknown, yet his contributions to war photography remain influential.
Brooksās photographs are a testament to the importance of truthful visual storytelling. While some images were used for propagandaāportraying enemies as defeated or weakāthey also depicted prisoners of war and everyday soldiers in candid moments, challenging dehumanization and encouraging a more nuanced understanding of the conflict.
The work of Brooks and others established a legacy that continues today. War photography transcended mere reporting; it became an art form that preserves human emotion, tragedy, and hope. These images have the power to influence future generations by reminding us of the cost of war and the universality of human experience.
In conclusion, Ernest Brooks exemplifies the brave and often risky efforts of wartime photographers who aimed to capture the raw truth of conflict. His pioneering work provided a more honest, human perspective on WWIāan impact that still resonates in our understanding of modern warfare.

The Turning Tide of World War I: France's Notable Victory at Verdun and the Broader Fronts
A Persistent War of Attrition on French Soil
For over two years, France has been embroiled in a relentless stalemate along its own territory, a brutal war of attrition that has sapped morale and tested the resilience of both soldiers and civilians. Many French citizensāsoldiers and civilians alikeāhave succumbed to despair, convinced that their nation can never regain its full territorial integrity. The prolonged conflict seemed to yield little hope for a decisive victory, fostering a pervasive sense of hopelessness across the country.
This grim atmosphere was overturned abruptly this week with a significant breakthrough for the French forces at Verdun, a pivotal point in the ongoing conflict. Meanwhile, on other fronts, the war continued its grueling pattern:
The British Army sustained another setback at the Somme, but the French forces managed to make some territorial gains locally. Despite the losses, Britainās Commander-in-Chief Douglas Haig remained resolute, vowing to sustain the campaign through harsh winter conditions if necessary.
The Balkan front saw the Serbian army repelling Bulgarian advances in the mountains, while Romanian forces held their ground against advancing German troops in the Carpathians. Simultaneously, French authorities asserted control over police powers in Greece and silenced local press, illustrating the strategic importance of these alliances and suppressions.
At the heart of this weekās dramatic events was the fierce battle at Fort Duaumont, situated on the Verdun battlefield. French artillery launched a sustained bombardment over several days, culminating on October 21 with the destruction of the fortressās observation and artillery positions. Yet, despite extensive damage, the fortress withstood the assaultāstanding resilient as it had for months.
The tide turned decisively on October 23 when intense artillery fire, including the formidable 400mm railway guns, struck Duaumont. These massive guns, firing with meticulous precision every 10 to 15 minutes, battered the fortressās defenses, demolishing key structures like the kitchens and communication routes. The commander, Major Rosenthal, faced chaos and disarrayāordering a retreat from the upper levels as the fortress came under relentless attack.
The French forces employed novel tactics by deploying larger caliber artillery and utilizing tactical training based on meticulous reconnaissance of the battlefield. Overcoming initial chaos, French troops launched a surprise attack from a concealed position, catching German defenses unprepared. The French quickly advanced along a 6-kilometer front, trapping and forcing German units into surrenderāan unprecedented event in this war of trench stalemates.
By dawn on October 24, Duaumont Fortress was abandoned by German troops who had run out of water, ammunition, and options. Stranded in the fortressās deserted tunnels and bunkers, two German soldiers remained unaware of their forces' retreat, inadvertently left behind for two daysāan emblem of the chaos of battlefield withdrawals.
French patrols found the fortress empty and began immediate consolidations. Despite initial signs of disorganization, French forces quickly regained control, and within hours, Duaumont was back in French handsāa remarkable victory that marked one of the largest gains for France in the war to that point.
The victory was vividly celebrated by French soldiers and commanders. Major Malkinās troops, who captured the fortress, had endured four and a half months of fighting to retake this strategic position. The success at Verdun symbolized both a military and morale victory, contrasting sharply with previous weeksā losses at the Somme.
The Dire Conditions on the Western Front
While the French celebrated their success, the overall Western Front was mired in mud, exhaustion, and logistical nightmares. The British Fourth Armyās attempt to assault trenches at Letranger-Louva on October 23 resulted in devastating casualtiesāup to 51% losses across several battalions. Heavy rains turned the battlefield into a treacherous swamp, halting supply lines and rendering movement exceedingly difficult.
British military officers, including the future World War II commander Lord Gort, depicted the dire conditionsāsoldiers trudging through knee-deep mud, eating cold rations, and fighting in a landscape almost impossible to maneuver. Despite these hardships, plans for further offensive operations persisted, including a scheduled attack on November 5.
The Eastern Front: Romanian Resistance and German Advances
Meanwhile, the Eastern Front saw renewed German pressure. Field Marshal August von Mackensen launched a new offensive in Dobrogea, capturing Tutsi and threatening the crucial rail link between CernÄuČi and ConstanČa. Capturing CernÄuČi on October 24, Mackensenās forces aimed to cut off Romanian supply lines.
However, Romanian troops, in retreat, destroyed vital bridges over the Danube River, creating a natural defensive barrier that hampered German advances. This action transformed the campaign into a stalemate, with the Danube acting as a significant obstacle. British and Russian observers acknowledged that the situation was dire: Romaniaās oilfields and resources were at risk of falling into German hands, potentially prolonging the war by two more years.
Yet, geopolitical complications and internal unrest within Russia hampered effective aid. The Russian armyās preoccupation with domestic strikes and political unrestāmarked by widespread worker protests and labor unrestālimited Moscowās ability to support Romania actively. Russian military leaders warned that their reserves might sustain fighting for only five more months.
Broader Implications and Political Turmoil
The week also saw political developments: the assassination of Austrian Chancellor Karl von Stürgk, orchestrated by Friedrich Adler, reflected internal conflicts within the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
In the strategic and diplomatic arena, the Battle of Verdun stands out as a turning point, not only militarily but psychologically. The French victory challenged the narrative of German invincibility and invigorated Allied morale. German commander Erich von Falkenhayn had originally aimed to bleed France dry at Verdun, but the eventual French resilience in defending and eventually retaking critical positions showcased the futility of German plans to break French morale through attrition alone.
This weekās battles illustrated a complex mosaic of attrition, strategic breakthroughs, and political upheaval across the European theater. Franceās recapture of Duaumont marked a significant turn, breathing new life into French morale after years of suffering. Meanwhile, the brutal conditions at the Western Front, the persistent German advances in Eastern Europe, and internal unrest within the Russian Empire underscored the war's wider chaos.
As the conflict drags into its third year, the intertwined narratives of victory, resilience, and despair continue to shape the narrative of World War Iāan ongoing test of endurance for all involved.
Sure, Googleās new "Preferred Sources" feature lets you pick specific websites or news outlets you trust. When you search, results from those sources show up more prominently, like in the "Top Stories" section. Pretty handy for customizing what you see
Fair point. I usually like seeing a mix of sources too, keeps things balanced. Might still tweak it for specific topics though if I want something niche.
So, I'm getting DRAMA comments from @jin-out, (tell me I'm not the only one getting them,) and I think they raise a fair point... It's sad that HIVE have to be over-controlled to a degree that doesn't allow many new people in...
Gotta admit, Iāve been sleeping on digital cash lately. Dash has the speed and low fees, which is hard to ignore for everyday transactions. Might need to revisit my allocation on this one. Curious how often others are using it in real-world scenarios
The advantage to the drop in price of $LEO is the USD is rolling in from the transaction fees on #leodex. This means more LEO is being purchased with each dollar.
That is how LSTR will keep its balance sheet growing.
Crypto sold off, but LEO is seeing some nice profit taking from some source. Down 40% from the recent high, bound to happen after a 1,200% run up lol #leo
After such a massive 1,200% run, some profit-taking was inevitable. Market cycles always bring corrections, and LEO's no exception. Still, the long-term utility in the Bitfinex ecosystem could keep it resilient compared to other alts
Not super familiar with the current crypto scene in New Orleans, but I know the city has had meetups and Bitcoin ATMs popping up in recent years. Might be worth checking local forums or socials for any upcoming events or gatherings
Haha, no judgment here! I get that pets aren't for everyoneācan be a lot of work and mess. I'm curious, is it all pets or just certain ones that bug you?
Las escenas de persecución en autos son un arte perdido en el cine moderno, antes los directores tenĆan que ser creativos con carros reales y ahora todo es CGI, se pierde esa sensación de peligro real que hacĆa que te agarraras del asiento
#persecuciones, #efectospracticos, #cgi, #accion, #realismo
I will hold my Lstr and look for funds to buy Surge. Not selling anything for anything, not even Leo, because I know that Leo is where all the gains will go to.
I just spoke to the commercial insurance adjuster. I learned that if the other driver is identified, then I may be able to recover the $2500 deductible to repair my car.
would the $SURGE be purchased of the market (so we get 10% bonus as long as the supply last?) or would the newly distributed $SURGE be valued at soft peg ($1,-)
Chinaās been up to a lot of whacky stuff lately. A Chinese tech company just unveiled a robot that can carry a fetus to term and deliver a live human baby.
If you want to do a large buy of $SURGE using HBD, check with @khaleelkazi. He checked into it and Leostrategy did an OTC swap for me. This saved them on the fees associated with having to get HBD for the payouts. The goal is to get the payouts banked so that the new purchases can be used to acquire $LEO.
2/š§µ - Everything that we do in our lives actually is filled with a lot of uncertainty and the outcome that we desire is often not very clear to us making it a pretty interesting situation which can go either way.
3/š§µ - There is fear that often creeps in because of the unknown factor that we step into but we need to acknowledge the fact that uncertainties are always going to be existing regardless of what we do and therefore the best thing we can do is to just focus on the things we can control.
I remember when people were saying "what happens when LeoStrategy buys up all the LEO Supply"
You forget that the supply gets inherently smaller and smaller as LeoStrategy buys
People have to sell their LEO in order for LeoStrategy to buy it
Right now, a lot of people are selling their LEO and I've seen LeoStrategy pick up 300,000+ LEO in the past 2-3 days
This is fantastic for the $LEO token economy IMHO. LeoStrategy can never sell the LEO it acquires, so 300,000 LEO in the last 2-3 days has now been permanently moved from weak hands to vibranium hands
If LSTR owns 10M - 15M LEO in the future, I think that's an amazing thing. It depends on what is done with the LEO it holds. If LSTR successfully launches derivatives, projects like @lstr.voter, @surge.yield, collateralized lending, etc. all around the balance sheet of LEO it holds, then they are driving constant cash to their balance sheet which is relentlessly poured back into more LEO.
300k LEO shifted into vibranium hands in just a few days is huge. Scarcity keeps tightening, while the balance sheet builds more tools (LSTR voter, SURGE, lending, derivatives).
Ahhh I see, so by doing OTC deals which adds to Strategy holding but not showing up on H-E buys / sells....Was wondering that, because there hasn't been 300,000 LEO purchased by them on the markets on H-E.....Unless I completely missed it.
I actually think about 200,000 of it was still HE market buys
It's kinda irrelevant where they buy it since if they didn't offer OTC deals, then those LEOs would just hit the market and tank the price (also allowing arbitrage bots to profit on our economy)
So LeoStrategy is accumulating quietly in the background. The LEO in their Arbitrum wallet + Hive wallet keeps expanding massively
I think that's a hang up a lot of us have, well me specifically....I know that LEO is not native on Hive anymore, but the majority of the people on Threads, watch H-E prices and movements. (pointing at me)
When it's done offchain or in the background, they don't 'see' it.
But big picture, is pulling out and looking at the fact Strategy is accumulating and literally locking it up forever.
I came up from less than 3 cents on LEO to the highest price it reached before this market down turn, even if Leo goes half the current price, I am still in profits. No pressure of selling.
Meanwhile, China hosted the inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing this week ā a spectacular showcase of both robotic potential and epic fails.
Yep, OTC deals are available. LeoStrategy will OTC on a case-by-case basis
For larger OTC deals, they will ask you to sell your LEO to them at a discount
Just saw another LEO OTC deal for 50k LEO that LSTR bought at a 15% discount to market price
The other day, they did one at a 20% discount to market price
These are fantastic for the LEO economy because large whales who have LEO they bought for $0.03 or less are able to exit without dumping on the market. LeoStrategy is able to scoop their LEOs up at a discount to the market price and permanently lock them (since LSTR can't sell any of the LEO it buys)
A 15ā20% discount looks like a win-win: sellers get liquidity instantly, and the community gains more permanently staked LEO. Over time, that just keeps tightening supply and strengthening the economy.
Totally healthy for people to take profits after a sick 800% rise
I am glad LeoStrategy was able to bring SURGE to market in time for this. It lets people rotate out of pure LEO exposure and get a volatility hedge instrument that pays yield
LeoStrategy gets more cheap LEO, Lions get to hedge risk
Here's a thought

A $230K #bitcoin swap just went through #leodex.
swap $ swap
Love the fee
Is the plan for this to stay 'free' forever?
Or are we hoping that the whales doing these big swaps will get comfortable enough with LeoDex that when fees are switched on, they will just keep using it?
Maya is not free only thorchain through the thorchain URL (different from Leodex).
The idea is to get them using the Dex but then charge for things like perps and other new offerings as they roll out.
But that big one is a free Thorchain swap, right? No fees earned?
The strategy Khal is using is obviously getting the attention of some serious money which I'm loving.
Looking forward to seeing how LEO captures its share :)
There was over $100K on Leodex through chainflip that is not free (earns 4.5$ roughly).
So that was over $450 today.
Get the feeder system going and use the free aspect to garner market share.

great it generated 0 fees. I hope the traction of free swaps has a side effevt for leodex getting more swaps with fees as well.

Check the rest of the DEX, thereās even nearly an equal amount of swaps today with fees
this is awesome
Why there's no single fee for that huge amount of swap?
Because it is free. That is what Leo offers to thorchain.
At least for that huge amount of swap a little maintenance fee would be fine.

The Power of Self-Respect: Why It Matters in Life
#threadstorm #outreach
š§µ/2
Self-respect should be the most important and crucial thing in every human being because I believe that if a person doesn't have self-respect then he is of no use because without self-respect a person is nowhere and sometimes lost, he cannot speak anything, he has no validation at all, but a person who has confidence and self-respect can take amazing decisions everywhere and can show himself as completely powerful because self-respect is important, this is the one thing that will make you realize what your value is and tell you a story about yourself and how much value you have, rather the one who only exists within him.
š§µ/3
Lastly, self-respect is a very big gift, if you have such self-respect for yourself, if you can set a boundary for yourself then you will always be emotionally and mentally peaceful and you will become a very strong man and this is a very important thing, whether it is in a relationship or in a friendship, self-respect should always be there because if you do not give self-respect, if you do not give respect to each other then nothing will last for long, there are many challenges in life, but if you give such priority to self-respect then confidence will come in you, dignity will come, and you will feel that you can defeat any difficulty and you can see yourself as a winner.

There really ought to be more involvement
A lot of Lions were already locked in on LEO and LSTR with their funds before SURGE came out. And most of the LEO that was recently bought were staked, hence no way to take profits by directing the funds to SURGE. I believe we will have more holders this week, when people have their funds back in their wallets.
I think people are still wrapping their heads around the value proposition of SURGE
With the market dip these past few days, hopefully it makes more sense
A stable, $1+ asset that pays yield is incredibly valuable to own right now

Part 1/9:
Part 2/9:
Part 3/9:
Part 4/9:
Part 5/9:
Part 6/9:
Privacy and Security: An Innate Advantage
Part 7/9:
An often-overlooked benefit of BCI HID technology is its intrinsic privacy advantage. Unlike traditional input methods that rely on physical devices which could be intercepted or misused, neural signals are unique to the individual. This means that only the userās brain activity is involved in these commands, providing an additional layer of security and ensuring that control remains personal and protected from external interference.
Industry Impacts and Future Directions
Part 8/9:
Part 9/9:
Conclusion: Toward a More Connected Future
Synchronization and its partners are paving the way for a paradigm shift in human-computer interaction. From Markās inspiring journey to the development of universal standards like BCI HID, the progress we are witnessing today sets the stage for an era where neural interfaces are integral to digital life. The convergence of medical innovation, industry support, and user-centered design heralds a future where technological accessibility is no longer a dream but a shared reality.

ALL FOR $SURGE
Thanks so much.
#hive #cent #surge
it took 7 days to sell 10% of the outstanding surge. I think you will be fine still
I hope so too. Let the whales not rush in after the first payout. Haha.
Not really, but there could be a surge in $SURGE sales once evryone sees the payments roll in.
Haha. Yeah, a surge in $SURGE sales... that's what I thought too. Well, I've powered down. Let's hope I would have some to grab before it's no more at the initial sale price.
š¤
this is the same thing I am dealing with, still need to wait a few days to have my first power down available to buy Surge. Just hope it doesn't sell out quickly and Hive price doesn't tank more before power down comes out.
Yeah, let's hope we will be able to still purchase some $SURGE.
I am ready to do everything for buying accept doing power down.
Haha, you're loyal to your HP. Well, I can easily recover the first liquid HIVE with 1-2 blog posts with high upvotes by setting payout to 100% power up.
LP allow me to delegate to leo.voter and for many cases I need HP. Moreover, I don't have so many HP to power down.

The thing is, I don't have any USB bluetooth adapaters or whatsoever... go figure lol

That $230k swap was unlikely to happen through LeoDex if the fee structure was reasonable.
What if 0.01% fee? Does the diference between FREE and $0.023 feel that much bigger than $0.575 vs $0.552? (Scaled down for the $230 swapsize crowd)
I am interested in the whale point of view specifically, BTW.
ā Voted thread successfully!
Vote weight: 6.47%
From a whale's perspective, the friction of seeking a free swap often outweighs paying a tiny 0.01% fee. Time and convenience matter more at larger volumesā$0.023 on a $230 swap is nothing compared to the hassle of finding alternatives.
Thank you. Make sure you voice your opinion any time you see a thread about large swap with no fees.
Appreciate the nudge. I'll definitely chime in on threads about large swaps and fee structures when I spot them. Always interesting to see how these dynamics play out for different traders
is there a tool to see LSTR $LEO per share?
It is an exercise in discipline to either end your trading day in a loss or not place any trades.
If you can learn how to do both and be content.. youāve already surpassed many retail traders.
Itās not easy to sit with a loss until your next trading session.. and itās not easy to sit still and do nothing so you could as well invest in $LEO .
Now is the perfect time for a buy.

Part 1/14:
The Stalemate at the Somme Continues
Part 2/14:
Last week, we saw intense fighting along the Somme River. The Italian army suffered heavy casualties in their campaign, with minimal gains, and Romanian forces in Western Vojvodina and Dobrogea were pushed back. British and French troops persisted with their assault on the Somme, but little progress was achieved. British Commander Sir Douglas Haig vowed to continue attacking through the winter if necessary, despite worsening weather conditions. The ongoing battles depict a grueling and unforgiving stalemate, with heavily rain-soaked trenches and muddy terrain hampering movement.
The Battle of the Somme: Progress and Setbacks
Part 3/14:
This week, the focus remains on the Somme. The French army notably performed well, with a significant attack on October 14 at BĆ©luwaon Saint-Antoine that successfully took the first German defensive line. By October 18, French forces pressed forward, reaching the ChĆ¢teau-Village and BiaČ areas. Conversely, the British attacks on October 18, following failures on October 7 and 12, were unsuccessful, with artillery fire failing to hit German defenses and allowing the enemy to maintain their positions.
Part 4/14:
Descriptions from the British war history paint a grim picture: Mid-October saw soldiers enduring terrible conditionsāheavy rain and fog hampered reconnaissance, with aerial patrols almost impossible. Muddy grounds, worn-out artillery, and exhausted troops created a war of attrition, with soldiers discouraged and suffering from exposure and fatigue. Despite the chaos, General Haig remained resolute, pushing for offensive actions even in these harsh conditions, driven by the strategic necessity of keeping the Germans at bay during the winter.
Strategic Movements and the Balkans Front
Part 5/14:
Part 6/14:
Part 7/14:
Amidst ongoing battles, French commanders prepared a large-scale offensive intended to reclaim the Verdun area. Led by General Philippe PĆ©tain, the French assembled a formidable force, deploying three front-line divisions supported by another three in reserves, totaling six divisions, and bolstered by 650 artillery piecesāincluding two massive 400mm Schneider-Creusot railway guns. The artillery supply was massive, with 15,000 tons of shells amassed for the operation.
Part 8/14:
Robust planning focused on synchronized artillery barrages and infantry advances. General Robert Nivelle oversaw the meticulous setup of communication lines, burying telegraph wires six feet underground to avoid destruction in the barrage. Troops practiced extensively on fake versions of the battlefield, such as the replica of the Verdun front at Saint-VƩran, and even brought in engineers experienced from the Panama Canal project to establish water supply systems for the advancing troops, ensuring they wouldn't suffer water shortages like previous failures in places like Vaux.
The Tension at the German Lines and the State of the Wehrmacht
Part 9/14:
On the German side, the besieged troops in Verdun faced mounting hardships. The relentless bombardments caused erosion of fortified positions, including the long-embedded, six-meter-deep Duga Mon fortress, exposing vulnerable sections due to continuous shelling and the resulting soil erosion. The German soldiers, already exhausted by constant fighting, cold, mud, and limited supplies, experienced a surge in desertions and surrender.
Part 10/14:
By October 19, the French offensive was imminent, with aerial reconnaissance confirming the readiness for a decisive barrage. German forces faced not only physical weariness but also morale problems. The escalation of attrition left many soldiersā feet frostbitten and bones buried in mud. Unknown to many German commanders was the deterioration of fortified positions like Duga Mon, once thought secure but now vulnerable due to months of sustained artillery fire.
The Mediterranean and Greek Turmoil
Part 11/14:
On a different front, the situation in Greece was tense. The Allies seized control of key rail lines from Piraeus to Larisa, raising fears that King Constantine might abdicate and align more closely with the Central Powers, especially Bulgaria and Germany. The Greek population responded with protests and demonstrations, with some police even joining the crowds. Meanwhile, French naval forces under Admiral Foch took control of Greek naval assets and pressured the government for tighter control over police forces, indicating a significant diplomatic and military intervention in Greece's neutrality.
Tensions and Revelations
Part 12/14:
These events underscored the fragile political landscape in Greece, with allegiances and national loyalties uncertain. The Allied forces' aggressive stance, including coercion and control over Greek military and civilian institutions, shocked many observers and fueled domestic unrest. The situation exemplified how World War I was extending its reach beyond the battlefield, affecting diplomacy, internal politics, and national identities yet again.
Conclusion: An Ongoing and Complex War
Part 13/14:
To summarize, this week in the Great War was marked by a mix of fierce battles, strategic planning, and political tensions. The Allies made strides at Verdun despite stiff German resistance, while in the Balkans, Serbia made notable advances against Bulgarian forces. Romania continued to defy the odds, halting even the robust German assaults with minimal equipment. Meanwhile, the weather and war fatigue cast long shadows over the massacres at the Somme, emphasizing the brutal cost of this global conflict.
Part 14/14:
Despite the grim realities, the Allied powers remained committed to their offensive plans, and the relentless push in Verdun foreshadowed a significant breakthrough. Simultaneously, geopolitical tensions in Greece underscored the warās broader scope, threatening to reshape alliances and national loyalties across Europe.

Part 1/11:
The Role of Photography in World War I: The Legacy of Ernest Brooks
World War I was a pivotal moment in history, not only for its military and political significance but also for its visual documentation. It marked the first major conflict extensively recorded through photography, offering a window into the realities of warfare that had previously been largely obscured or romanticized. While the First World War was also the first to be captured largely on film, photographs played a crucial role in shaping public perception, propaganda, and historical record.
The Evolution and Importance of War Photography
Part 2/11:
By the late 19th century, photography technology had evolved to allow for portable cameras, which became especially useful during WWI. The development of these compact cameras, such as Kodak models, enabled soldiers and journalists to document their experiences on the battlefield unlike ever before. This was particularly vital during aerial reconnaissance, where traditional scouting methods like cavalry were rendered obsolete by modern trench warfare. Photographs of trenches, troop movements, and battlefield panoramas became critical for military intelligence and public dissemination.
Part 3/11:
Despite restrictionsāsuch as bans on personal cameras for British soldiersāmany soldiers defied these rules, capturing candid images of war life. These amateur photos, often anonymous, number in the thousands and provided an unfiltered glimpse into the daily realities faced by soldiers of all nations involved in the conflict. Unlike letters, which could be censored or edited, photographs were difficult to manipulate, making them a powerful medium for authentic storytelling.
Official War Photography and Propaganda
Part 4/11:
Given the influence of images, each warring nation established official photographers and filmmakers tasked with producing propaganda and documentation. The British, for instance, employed Ernest Brooks as their first official war photographer. Brooks, who was a photographer for the Daily MirrorāBritainās first newspaper to regularly publish photographsājoined the military reserve in 1915 amidst a shortage of experienced photographers. His assignments took him across the Western Front, Gallipoli, Italy, and naval operations, where he captured scenes meant to bolster national morale.
Part 5/11:
However, wartime photography was heavily censored. Restrictions limited what could be shown to the public, with an emphasis on portraying the war as heroic and controlled. Nevertheless, photographers like Brooks often faced the temptation or obligation to stage or reenact scenes they photographed, especially in the early years, to enhance dramatic effect or compensate for censorship. Brooks promised to cease such practices but still faced criticism for his earlier staging.
Photography as a Reflection of Reality and Humanity
Part 6/11:
Brooks and fellow wartographers did more than just record machinery and destruction; they captured moments of humanity amid chaos. His images include soldiers laughing through bullet holes in walls, donning gas masks, or moments of camaraderie. Such photographs humanized the soldiers and conveyed the emotional and physical toll of war, breaking from the abstract narratives often used to justify conflict.
Part 7/11:
Some photos even revealed the darker aspects of warāsuch as images of fallen soldiersāthat were usually taboo and difficult to publish due to censorship. These images served multiple purposes: they could be kept as historical records, or they could reflect an emotional or truthful response to the horrors of the front. These visuals intended not only to inform but also to evoke empathy and reflection among viewers, prompting questions about human cruelty and the dual nature of mankind.
The Artistic and Educational Impact
Part 8/11:
Brooksās work extended beyond simple documentation. His photographs demonstrated artistic qualities that helped convey stories and emotions, making the images more accessible and memorable. They provided insights into everyday life for soldiersāsmiling through gunfire, wearing masks, or caring for wounded comradesārendering the war less anonymous and more relatable. His images continue to be iconic representations of WWI, embodying both the tragedy and resilience of those involved.
Post-War Life and Legacy
Part 9/11:
The Enduring Significance of War Photography
Part 10/11:
The work of Brooks and others established a legacy that continues today. War photography transcended mere reporting; it became an art form that preserves human emotion, tragedy, and hope. These images have the power to influence future generations by reminding us of the cost of war and the universality of human experience.
In conclusion, Ernest Brooks exemplifies the brave and often risky efforts of wartime photographers who aimed to capture the raw truth of conflict. His pioneering work provided a more honest, human perspective on WWIāan impact that still resonates in our understanding of modern warfare.

!summarize
Part 1/13:
A Week of Resurgence and Major Battles
Part 2/13:
This grim atmosphere was overturned abruptly this week with a significant breakthrough for the French forces at Verdun, a pivotal point in the ongoing conflict. Meanwhile, on other fronts, the war continued its grueling pattern:
Part 3/13:
The Key Battle: The Fall of Duaumont Fortress
Part 4/13:
At the heart of this weekās dramatic events was the fierce battle at Fort Duaumont, situated on the Verdun battlefield. French artillery launched a sustained bombardment over several days, culminating on October 21 with the destruction of the fortressās observation and artillery positions. Yet, despite extensive damage, the fortress withstood the assaultāstanding resilient as it had for months.
Part 5/13:
The tide turned decisively on October 23 when intense artillery fire, including the formidable 400mm railway guns, struck Duaumont. These massive guns, firing with meticulous precision every 10 to 15 minutes, battered the fortressās defenses, demolishing key structures like the kitchens and communication routes. The commander, Major Rosenthal, faced chaos and disarrayāordering a retreat from the upper levels as the fortress came under relentless attack.
Part 6/13:
The French forces employed novel tactics by deploying larger caliber artillery and utilizing tactical training based on meticulous reconnaissance of the battlefield. Overcoming initial chaos, French troops launched a surprise attack from a concealed position, catching German defenses unprepared. The French quickly advanced along a 6-kilometer front, trapping and forcing German units into surrenderāan unprecedented event in this war of trench stalemates.
The Fall and Its Aftermath
Part 7/13:
Part 8/13:
Part 9/13:
Part 10/13:
However, Romanian troops, in retreat, destroyed vital bridges over the Danube River, creating a natural defensive barrier that hampered German advances. This action transformed the campaign into a stalemate, with the Danube acting as a significant obstacle. British and Russian observers acknowledged that the situation was dire: Romaniaās oilfields and resources were at risk of falling into German hands, potentially prolonging the war by two more years.
Part 11/13:
Part 12/13:
In the strategic and diplomatic arena, the Battle of Verdun stands out as a turning point, not only militarily but psychologically. The French victory challenged the narrative of German invincibility and invigorated Allied morale. German commander Erich von Falkenhayn had originally aimed to bleed France dry at Verdun, but the eventual French resilience in defending and eventually retaking critical positions showcased the futility of German plans to break French morale through attrition alone.
Conclusion
Part 13/13:

Google has introduced a feature allowing users to select their preferred sources for search results.
What do you mean preferred sources? Can you explain that?
Sure, Googleās new "Preferred Sources" feature lets you pick specific websites or news outlets you trust. When you search, results from those sources show up more prominently, like in the "Top Stories" section. Pretty handy for customizing what you see
Didn't it always have the "site:xxxxxxxxx" operator that allowed you to choose your preferred source?
Itās a nice move by google but I donāt think I might be using it very often. I prefer to see results from multiple sources most times.
Fair point. I usually like seeing a mix of sources too, keeps things balanced. Might still tweak it for specific topics though if I want something niche.

Should we add an autocompounding feature for SURGE Yield?
Right now, you can earn your SURGE yield each week as HBD or LSTR
If HBD, you receive HBD
If LSTR, HBD is swapped to LSTR and paid to you
If we added SURGE, it'd work like LSTR (HBD swapped to SURGE and autocompounded in your wallet)
oh yes please, saves me a lot of clicks . This will be ideal.
You should also put whatever HBD you amass in savings to fund the APR through Hive.

That is great, but works for larges amount, I don't see them making it for 2 or 3 HBDs š

Thanks
Hi.
How is your summer going?
Over time, LEO gets more scarce
1% effectively locked up in a couple days is massive.
Do that 5 times throughout the year and we will see some shifts in the impact of Leo tokenomics.
300k LEO shifted into vibranium hands in just a few days is huge. Scarcity keeps tightening, while the balance sheet builds more tools (LSTR voter, SURGE, lending, derivatives).
Thatās the beauty of it every LEO that LeoStrategy absorbs is effectively out of circulation forever. š¦
I am not in the hurry even if I bought in high price as the chance of LEO to go up is very high.

LeoStrategy is able to scoop their LEOs up at a discount to the market price and permanently lock them (since LSTR can't sell any of the LEO it buys)
https://inleo.io/threads/view/taskmaster4450le/re-leothreads-xdgxd3cd
Large pickups without putting sell pressure on the market and just handing the trading bots the spread.
Smart way to handle it.
A 15ā20% discount looks like a win-win: sellers get liquidity instantly, and the community gains more permanently staked LEO. Over time, that just keeps tightening supply and strengthening the economy.
