Greetings Dear Art Appreciators;

.
Hope you are well and enjoying the weather wherever you are.

'The First Morning Call' is presented here with a Cockerel/ Rooster doing his part to bring in a fine morning on a summer's day with rolling hills as a backdrop as he stands amid very large bleu 'Forget-Me-Nots'and pink 'Geranium' fleurs.

The original drawing was meant for a bit more abstract type painting, but since the subject was looking a bit more realistic, the decision was made to put him in a plausible setting.

This particular Cockerel is representative of the Buff Orpington Species.

Wishing you and yours all the best.... God's best.

'...Jesus said...I am the way, the truth and the life.... no man cometh to the Father but by Me.' John 14.6

It is faith alone in Christ alone for Eternal life.

Thank you for dropping by.....^__^

.
Kind Regards,

Bleujay

An eloquent artistic work, deliciously chromatic, so much so that the first thing that comes to my mind when I see it is the sound of the singing of a rooster on a warm and sunny morning!... I send my congratulations for this work!... Have an excellent weekend full of blessings for you and your people around you @bleujay friend!... 🙏

I am not familiar with the breed of roosters you mentioned @bleujay, but the alps in the background tell me that this is a relative of the Celtic Rooster, which is an unrecognized symbol of France, which was noted for themselves by the red-haired Celts, or the well-known Gauls, who were so afraid of the Romans, although the Gauls loved to play something with them, for example, ping-pong in Gallic :)
Wonderful work, on every feather, I find it hard to imagine that this can be done in watercolor!
Blessed day to you!

Happy weekend, my friend. Your painting is excellent as always, and it represents very well the first call of the morning, a rooster crowing in the summer.

Greetings friend, well, it has rained quite a bit although the weather has been good in recent days. Your painting reflects summer well, as does the morning call of the rooster's crowing.

That reminds me the rooster my grandparents had back in the days, he would wake you up at the first sun ray... Intelligent creatures BTW... Lovely paints!

Not everyone has this kind of talent and not everyone can create things like this. You have put in a lot of time and created this beautiful painting.

Stunning, splendid choice of colors.

This is the first time you're painting an animal (at least, that I know of). I love the background even better the Cockerel, the ground where you painted the flowers that the cock stood on. Rich burst of details in that area, wow.

How very kind of you to drop by with your kind words regarding the painting.

You are quite correct....Bleujay paints animals once in a bleu moon. ^__^

Interesting you say that about the background as I have wanted to paint landscapes for some time....and even though I have taken classes...I just have not practiced enough to be comfortable with the results.

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

I think these results are great enough. Maybe it's because I'm not a professional, but from the point of view of an art lover and an admirer, I think the background didn't lack any form of detail to take away anything from this piece

Hello!

I love the happy directions the feathers take in the Rooster's body. I also love that color pallet, bright and happy.

I think there may be a piece of a geranium there too. Very nice painting!

Beautiful as always my friend, such a talent!

Your pieces and works are always incredible! I love seeing the sketch come to life with your paintings, do you use real life subjects or is it all from mind?

So lovely to see my friend, keep up the great work it's wonderful!

Greetings @dubble ,

How very kind of you to drop by with your lovely comment and tokens...thank you.

To answer your kind query....It is a bit of a compilation; a collection of three cockerel pictures from online magazines....landscape and flower photographs taken by Bleujay...and the composition from my mind....asking myself how to feature a cockerel in style...^__^

Take Care,

Bleujay
