RE: Today's Principle.......presented by Bleujay

Ever since going through ITIL training and certification back in my corporate days, I think about problems and the process a little more clinically.

I tend to isolate the issues that indicate there might be a problem that would need to be solved. Kinda like collecting all of the symptoms in order to diagnose the problem. Sometimes there are multiple problems that have to be addressed too.

Sometimes, for sure we have to collect and analyze the issues to trace it back to the problem. Then, we can more clearly address the problem to reduce or eliminate the issues.

I find my laziness (or need to be efficient to avoid unnecessary work ;) makes me resistant to people who come up with solutions in search of a problem. That’s probably another discussion though.

Greetings @zekepickleman ,

What an excellent response to the Principle.

So true...especially the clinical bit and the categorical approach...it is part and parcel of problem solving.

You wrote "...who come up with solutions in search of a problem." Thank you for the smiles. ^__^

Kind Regards,

Bleujay
