Let me explain the currencies.
HIVE is the native token for the Hive blockchain, where we all are. It is a volatile coin, meaning that its price fluctuates according to the market.
Hive Power (HP), is simply HIVE that has been staked. To stake means to put in some money (or crypto currency) into the blockchain for the ecosystem to use and run with, and that allows you to earn in return by performing certain actions like upvoting.
Hive Backed Dollar (HBD) is the stablecoin for the Hive blockchain, like we have USDT—if you're familiar with it. It is always pegged around $1 regardless of the market. On some days it could be less, like $0.987, and some days it could be more, like $1.072. The tiny changes happen because there is a system that tries to stabilize it.
