Sushi night at Kajiki [EN/PT]
[EN]
My birthday is on May 1st, but I've already started the celebrations. HAHA Last weekend, I was craving Japanese food, but I wanted to go beyond the obvious of ordering delivery, so I suggested to my boyfriend that we go to a sushi buffet. I've been to buffets several times and I love them. He had never been before.
After researching several restaurants with buffet options near my house and also analyzing the prices, I chose to go to Kajiki. This restaurant had been on my radar for some time and I had never been there before.
We invited another couple of friends and went to fill our bellies. LOL The atmosphere was very beautiful and the service was also very good. I think it was a wise choice.
As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and shown around the place so we could choose our table. We quickly grabbed a corner. The lighting and decoration were also beautiful, but I forgot to take many photos because I was already very hungry at that point.
The Japanese food buffet at Kajiki promised a really good variety of traditional oriental cuisine dishes and I can say it didn't disappoint in any aspect. We paid R$ 215.90 per couple.
As soon as we settled into our chosen corner, a waiter came to attend to us, gave us the menu with the available options, and suggested a tasting combo as an appetizer.
Since my friends and my boyfriend hadn't been to a buffet before, they were a bit lost, so I let the combo arrive so they could taste and decide what they would like to order later. I already knew for sure that I would want everything! Haha
On the plates, we were graced with a huge variety such as ceviche, carpaccio, gyoza, shimeji, fried squid, cheese harumakis... Every bite was a true explosion of flavors, textures, and spices!
And from then on, we ordered many other dishes! There were delicious salmon, tuna, and white fish sashimis, as well as salmon and skin nigiris, salmon, skin, and philadelphia rolls, and even a banana roll with hazelnut cream, which was also great! The highlight of the day was the Miso soup, which was very delicious.
I took the opportunity to eat two temakis, one with shimeji and one philadelphia, as well as sweet harumakis for dessert, with chocolate, dulce de leche, and Romeo and Juliet flavors.
At the end of the night, we left the restaurant almost rolling, with full and happy stomachs. It was a great day and a great way to start the celebrations of my birthday.

E daí pra frente, pedimos muitos outros pratos!
