First, thanks for a useful comment.
I agree, one needs to understand the possible limitations.
But if you lived in survival mode for a longer period, your mind, or at least mine, will always take limitations /scarcity as its default.

Hence, I would aim at the minimum required to pay my bills and see that as sufficient (to survive).
Then I stop, I do not consider abundance, as I wired my brain to think as a survivor.

If I had looked at it from an abundance perspective, I might have said it should be enough to pay all my bills, raise my kids, support my family and allow myself a comfortable lifestyle.

But I stopped looking after knowing what I needed to survive and did not open myself up for abundance.
