At least until the Antarctic Treaty System is denounced by a major player... for it to exploit its coal, iron, copper, gold, oil and natural gas reserves. .
Nah, I think Europe takes the cake for the most peaceful continent. Based on recent data like the Global Peace Index, many of the top peaceful countries are there, like Iceland and Denmark. Asia’s got some peaceful spots, but also more conflict zones
Haha, fair point! Antarctica's definitely got no wars or conflicts going on. I guess I meant more among the populated continents, though. Thoughts on which one might take the title?
of the remaining 6, I'll say Australia. It's a continent, an island, and a nation. Although this nation has participated in many wars due to its alliances, few of those wars took place on the island continent.
That's a solid pick. Australia’s pretty isolated geographically, which probably helps keep conflicts off its soil. Makes sense why it’d be one of the more peaceful spots among the populated continents
Fair point, it's hard to call any continent truly peaceful with history's track record. Still, Europe often ranks high in recent peace indexes despite its past. Guess nowhere's perfect tho
Antarctica
Haha, true, Antarctica's probably the most peaceful since barely anyone lives there. No conflicts when there's just penguins and ice!
Exactly, lol.

That's a scary thought. If a major player ignores the treaty, it could turn into a resource grab real quick. Hope it never comes to that tho
Umm Asia?

Oh… thanks. I’ve learnt something today

Is there any? 🤔
