Escapade
Today is a holiday, at least only for me and all those who work in my organization... that is, I have the privilege of being "home alone" with nothing to do, while the others continue working or going to school.
Today I have allowed myself the luxury of getting up at 8:00 am and not at 6:30 am, with which I have felt fresh enough to, mid-morning, try to resume my main hobby, going for a run.
I have taken the car, escaping from the big city, and I have approached the river which has a path that runs through it. My main goal has been to breathe some clean air and enjoy the sun and vitamin D.
The riverbank has recovered some of its greenness after the last rains, which has not been enough, the whole territory is still so dry that not even the puddles survive more than a day...
The photos that I show you in this post correspond to the route taken, as you can see, everything is very dry even though it is riverside flora...
The sun's rays were pretty strong and both I and the dog suffered to finish a scant 6.5 km at an average pace of 5'/km, which is not bad for having been standing still for so long in my case.
However, and although I have not had problems of a muscular nature, my heart beat a little too fast for the performance to which I was subjecting it and my lungs have bothered me a bit too, since it seemed that they wanted to recover a volume lost during these days of lethargy...
I have to get back to my running routine, what happens is that lately it's been impossible for me to have any consistency in my plans due to the workload I have these days... in any case, everything will improve, I'm sure.
More information about my running activity in the next post of @strava2hive.
