Your point about leasing idle plots is smart, it turns bush control into food and keeps the soil working for the next owner. Mixing maize and cassava feels like a risk spreader for both yield and family meals, my calculator would smile at that plan :) With rains shifting, short cycles and shared land use can steady cashflow for small farmers, and and it reduces waste on a plot that would sit empty. Even small steps like this dont need fancy gear, just steady effort and good neighbours in the commmunity.

Yes. It is good to make good use of most land for agriculture before navigating through by building House on it. But sometimes the fear of the unknown is there too...

fear of the unknown is real, but you can chip at it with small steps :) Try using short cycle crops first, keep basic records, then decide if the land should stay in crops or move to building. Leasing a small strip out spreads rsik and keeps some cash coming while the soil still works for you. Intercropping and a bit of mulch help with ra;in swings too, so youโ€™re not stuck if the season turns rough. Sound ok?
