Follow Friday: A kick up the eighties
The News
It is a bit niche, but the title references this old UK comedy show. As your Hive reputation goes up it gets harder to increase it. It is well over a year since I hit 79 and it is about to tick over. It may get rounded up anyway in some places, but this is yet another milestone.
The price chart is 'interesting' this week with the blue coin edging ahead at times.
Someone is obviously buying with volume peaking over $100m. I wonder who that could be. We know that other chain is corrupted and lacks development, so why would anyone think it has value?
Of course Hive has issues too, but it has lots of development going on. We know it ought to be valued higher, but that is up to the markets. For many of us the value is in the engagement, freedom and opportunities.
There is plenty of talk about how the funds from proposals are used. I see that @peakd and @ecency are both reducing what they will take from that. Everyone can have a say in who gets paid. If you vote for the Return Proposal then that raises the threshold. Developing good software can be expensive if you need full-time developers. There are also costs in the tools you need. I know some are paying for subscriptions to 'AI' tools.
Friday Follows
- Last weekend I met up with @alessandrawhite, @chris-uk, @nicklewis, @shanibeer and @gillianpearce in Bedford. They all travelled a fair way to be there, but it was good fun. When you get Hivers together the conversations are great. Please check out their posts as they took more photos than I did.
- I enjoyed listening to @good-karma from Ecency on the Hive Thrive show. That takes place on Discord where some good discussions happen.
- If you want to know what development is going on then I recommend the HiveDevs community. Some people are very busy coming up with new ideas. If you have any development experience then you may be able to contribute or come up with your own things.
- Examples of cool new stuff are the prediction betting from @beggars and a post writing tool from @justola1.
The Dog House
Spam can come in many forms. Someone is sending out lots of tiny transfers with a message. I suspect that it is mainly about getting referral rewards rather than trying to hack accounts, but we are free to ignore them and take the tiny income.
It would be better to use referral links from people you know and you can do that openly on Hive. This person is trying to avoid getting downvoted as they have no posts or comments. They have enough funds to send thousands more messages and it is cheap. At least they had to buy some $HIVE to do it.
The End
I have said many times that a key to success on Hive is to make it fun for yourself and others. If you follow people who post what you enjoy and get good engagement then you will want to keep coming back. I find people to be overwhelmingly positive and I stay away from negativity.

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new

They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new

They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years

They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
