Morning Run: Around the block
@steevc just finished a 7.77km run, that lasted for 45 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 587.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
With the current challenge at work I am logging some walks to work on Strava and will also try to make my regular runs a little longer. I just do not want to overdo it and get injured.
Today I did a short version of the villages loop that is almost a square. It is staying cool in the mornings, but there is no sign of the rain we could do with.
I did the loop clockwise this time. I think I have mostly done it the other way, but today this was partly to avoid the crowds of kids going to school later on. I did see a few of them. My kids went to Etonbury, but the uniform has changed since then.
I think that the climb up to Fairfield is steeper in this direction, but I kept going. I am happy with my overall pace as it is improving on some recent runs. I think I need some interval workouts to improve my speed. I may miss parkrun again this week as we have to be elsewhere on Saturday morning.
Podcast listening was Desert Island Discs with Warwick Davis, Guardian Science Weekly on ageing and Pod Save the UK talking about the ruling on trans women. With so much going on in the world I try to stay informed on various issues. The demonisation of trans people is very concerning as they are not the cause of out problems.
Run free and be kind!

I agree with you on that last part. It's a giant misdirect from something else that they don't want us to be focusing on. They did the same thing back during Covid. Nice job on your run. My wife picked up a weighted vest to wear on the treadmill the other day. I haven't tried it out yet.
Don't get distracted from the real issues. How's the price of eggs?
I don't feel I need to make running harder for now. I can just try to go quicker.
Eggs are still pretty expensive. We have lots of people at work we can get them from though. It's one of the benefits of working in a farming community.
7.77 kilometres run that has to mean good luck coming your way !LOL
Eggs seem to be in short supply out here too, I thought get was just a local thing. Usually there $7 to 8 Aud if they are in stock. Though I have seen free range going for $15 a dozen at some of the smaller local shops.

Running is good for a man's health. It strengthens the heart, burns fat, builds muscles, and gives more energy daily. Diets rich in lean meats, eggs, nuts, leafy greens, and healthy fats like olive oil can help boost testosterone levels. A diet with lean meats, nuts, and healthy fats boosts testosterone, while oral testosterone treatment can further enhance hormone levels. Oral testosterone treatment is used to manage low testosterone levels.

It will rain in the weekend here thus I have been doing my walks in weekdays, with the fine weather, almost 30C :)
Much cooler here and no sign of rain.
