When I read the poem, I didn't think you were talking about an object, but about the relationship between two people and that's fine, you made an analogy and I think it came out well. Greetings.

I see what you mean! It's actually like a persona poem, speaking from the point of view of another person, figure or object. I imagined it's the old object fuming at its abandonment and possible reconciliation with its owner. Still, the poem could also depict human relationship.
