When I was maybe 10 years old, my parents finally had enough money to buy a tent and sleeping bags for all of us, and a little camp stove. Somehow my mother packed everything into the trunk of our medium-sized car and off we went. I enjoyed the experience as a child, but when I got older, I really developed respect for my mother for all she did on those camping trips. Realistically, the mother takes all her work along with her and it's more difficult to do. We all pitched in to help, as much we we were able to, but still, it was a lot of work for her. She didn't seem to mind, though.

I was like your mother, I did it all, the packing, the shopping, setting up camp, cooking, etc. I can respect her.
