5 minute freewrite 2779 prompt admiration
This is my post for #freewriters 2779 prompt admiration hosted by @mariannewest
Two days ago my husband got a craving for crab cakes, so he put 3 crab traps in the river. He pulled them today and kept only the biggest crabs, he got 14 to cook and threw back about 20. It is nice to see the river trying to come back. Some places even have the seagrass we used to have, we called it mullet grass. My son told me that when he is fishing at night, he can see a lot of shrimp in the mullet grass.
My sister kept telling me that when she got her money, she was going to buy a pop up camper, and the list of the things she wants in it. She said she was not buying one unless it had all she wants in it. SOOOOOO, what did she do? She drove across the state to buy the first one she looks at.
I have a lot of admiration for her wanting to take her granddaughters camping. I just wish she had looked for one that had everything she wanted, but she said she is happy with it. It only has 3 small holes in the canvas top. The guy she bought it from had duct tape over them. It has the cutest little stove, but the fridge is 3 feet high and sits on the floor. I would not be going in it much. On each end is a full size bed and the table makes into a bed. It also has a couch, but it is not very wide, you would need to sleep on your side. It has a sink, and water can be hooked up to it. Opposite the stove is a counter with storage under it and a shelf above it.
She asked the guy if he had a tire gauge, and he said no, he told her he would not drive to Georgia on the tires, but they would make it across the state to our town. The tires were sunk into the ground from sitting in one place, so she asked the closest place to check them and to put air in the tires, and he told her it was not far down the road.
It was a good thing that the gas station was not far. As she was not far from pulling up to the air machine, she had a flat. There was no tread at all, all the way around the tire, it was near the inside of the tire, she could not see it when she bought it because it was under the camper. I can not say if the seller knew how bad it was. She had to buy a new tire with the rim on it at Walmart, and they charged her 148 dollars. They will not sell tires that size without the rim. She made it back here with no other issues.
I forgot to take any pictures of the camper, maybe for another post.

From the sea to the grill! !BBH
Yes, that is the way we do it. You can not get it fresher than that.
So much stress to get a pop up camper!!!
Here we are in a good position. We don't have such trend to go for camping. Hence, no extra stress to acquire the thing!
Those crab cakes looks delicious. I hope that your husband's crave has settled down :)

Have you ever been camping? I always enjoyed getting away from the daily routine and all of the traffic and the people. I enjoy cooking over a fire. No TV, No phone, No internet.
Yes the crab cakes were good.
