Permaculture is very rewarding, once established. Even I thought about it, but it needs a permanent place.

I have no experience with this; it's more my wife who is researching it. 😎
But as far as I understand it, you don't necessarily need a permanent position. You can also prepare all the bases and layers you need in boxes or flower pots, which you can then move around. But then you don't have any problems with insects, slugs, and weeds.
