Is it not true that if applied to human groups, psychological essentialism can lead to stereotyping and prejudice. If people believe that race or gender is an "unchangeable essence," they are more likely to view social differences as natural and fixed rather than socially constructed?

The problem sometimes is that we grew to meet some of these social differences already in play.
So people take it to be a thing that is natural and then it brings fear into one's life as an attempt to change will look like working against nature which is not always true.
