Our Neighborhood Gave Us Chicken Stew (Chicken Tinola), A Perfect dish for a Rainy Weather, trying the “Pancit Palabok” at Cindy’s Bakeshop and I cooked Buttered Shrimp for Dinner
Hello Hivers of this community. How was your day going? It was still raining here at our place because there is a typhoon coming on its way. Stay safe everyone.
Today I’m gonna share to you guys what the food that I enjoyed. I was really grateful because a lot of blessings and good news had come. What I like about our place is that our neighborhood is really generous when it comes on giving food, even if there’s no occasion, there will always a blessing in disguise. Just like this morning. Our neighborhood gave us some chicken stew or “chicken tinola”, that’s how we call it on our local. Its soup was one of a kind because the chicken is native. When the chicken was just raised at your backyard we call it native chicken, it’s different from the chicken that was bought at the market.
It was one of my comfort foods whenever rainy season comes. It has also some vegetables like moringa and bitter gourd leaves which makes it even more delicious and healthier. Thanks to our neighbor, I will not think of our breakfast for today. 😊
As I went to buy some stuffs at the market, it was still raining, so I just bought the stuffs that needed as fast as I could for tomorrow is my son’s third birthday. On our way home, I bought his cake at Cindy’s bakery shop. The staff there said that they had a promo for pancit palabok which is cheaper than its usual price. Since I’m craving for it, I bought one to go.
It’s their new product at this bakery shop, and their pancit palabok is a must try, the sauce was really good. It was a nice idea I bought this pancit palabok, I’m already full and I just drank a can of pineapple to quench my thirst.
Today was really a great news not for me but to my husband because he was given a plaque of appreciation for being one of the top account officers at their company. I’m really proud of him, because of his dedication at his work, it was paid off. Their company gave him some money gifts for his hard work and an increase to his salary. What a great blessing indeed for us. We also thank God for everything that He gave to us this year so far.
To celebrate this good news to our family, I cooked buttered shrimp for dinner since my husband was really craving for it. It was a simple dish for shrimps because you will only need 3 main ingredients for this food. I used a half cup of butter to sauté the garlic and shrimps then just add some salt and pepper to taste, then when the shrimps are already pink in color I added 2 tablespoons of ketchup sauce. Then it’s done. You can now enjoy this simple yet flavorful dish with your family.
That’s all for today hivers of this community. I hope your day would be great, enjoying good food with your family.
Sincerely, @saijan19
