Pork and Cabbage Soup for Lunch on Gloomy Weather and a Dried Mango Coated with Dark Chocolate for My Sweet Dessert!
Mommy F really want a pork meat today, specifically pork leg part. But I encouraged her to just get the other part of pork because pork leg I think has more fats and bone in is, right? Right? Luckily, I was able to convinced her and picked a combination of skin and flesh, but this one has more meat in it. Although the fat part of pork is really good especially when it was cooked to the point that the skin melts in your mouth -I still want to avoid eating a lot of it. Like what people say, too much is bad right? So we should only get the right amount of it.

We're already on our way here - going back home. Mama had to stop by in this bakery to buy her pet some bread.

Here's what I bought in the market, I choose the whatever part of pork in the market. I think this part is also good for making Pork and Cabbage Soup, ah, yes we also mixed tomatoes in it, fresh tomatoes from the garden y'all! Hehe. And there's taro too, just one big taro I think this one is 250 grams.

So another ingredients to put in today's dish is two small onions, three cloves of garlic, pepper, salt and pork cubes. I didn't sautee these and just started cooking the meat with those I mentioned above in a water. Once it started boiling I adjusted the heat into low heat. I put a lot of water in it because we want the pork meat to be as tender as LOVE. LOL

While waiting for the meat, I then clean and cut all that needs cutting. I soaked the cabbage in a water with a pinch of salt in it. Ah yep, there's that green long chili too. The oldies love that in any Soup.

I cooked the pork meat for ling 50 minutes, really long, oh our poor gas, lol. But it's worth it because the meat is so tender. Once the neat soften I then added the taro and cook it until the taro soften.

I cooked the taro for a other 10 minutes before adding the cabbage, tomatoes and the green long chili. I added the pepper last. Cook it for another minute ir until the cabbage soften a bit.

Oh yum, just look at that. It'll be lovely if we have a bot so ripe banana. Banana specifically a Saba banana is really good in a Sinabawang Pork. Sadly we already cook the last banana we have last week. UwU

And it's DONE, DONE, DONE!
( /^ω^)/♪♪
The weather today is still gloomy, a bit cold too that's why this kind of dish is really perfect today. I LOVE IT! I enjoy sipping it's hot soup. And the cabbage? It's perfect! So is the Taro. And the meat? Of so tender. Today's lunch really is enjoyable (✿^‿^)

Now, now, a meal is not complete without dessert right? And i'm kinda not full yet -not yet full because I know there's a sweet treat lying on my bed, that's what I mean, lol. So it's a dried mango coated with dark chocolate. At first I find it really weird, like HAH? WHY? Lol. But when I tried it, i like it. I can taste the dark chocolate, it's bitter and not too sweet. It goes well perfectly with the dried mango.

Look at that, looks good not? Its too good i'm sad that I can only have this tiny one. It's actually just a pasalubong from Mommy D's grandson. They just got married and they are actually about to fly to Switzerland I think. But before doing that, they got married first in the Philippines, it happened in Cebu I think. And then they travel back in Mindoro to of course bond to their parents here. And they also visits their grandmother, which is Mommy D. And they brought the pasalubong with us together with Goldilocks sliced cakes, more dried mango without chocolate and the dried hipornnnn or shrimp. So sweet of them. ( /^ω^)/♪♪. Have you already tried mango with chocolate? Do you like it?

Really perfect for me, yes. I heard about that too. I want to eat that palagi if not that expensive
Yay pork and cabbage soupp is so good. Especially that the weather yesterday was gloomy. What a perfect time to have that kind of warm little soup. I also love that viand and we cook it every Sunday until now. We buy the part where there is a lot of bone and little of meat because that's where most of the nutrients go. According to my mother😣 I guess she is right because we are healthy. And yay, your mom must be so kind she bought a bread for her pets♥️
Real! Masarap sana with Potato but we replaced it with Taro nalanh. Perfect din. Uwu. That, that's what Mom wants too. Pero nanghihinayang ako, though legit na masarap talaga ang buto buto, pero ang unti ng laman 🥹
Oh that soup looks so savory and delicious. You describe it so well that I imagine it's in my mouth, haha. Even though the soup could defintely fill you up with maybe another bowl or two you saved room for a delicious sweet. Sounds good I like dark chocolate coated things. Haven't tried with mango though but I trust your review of it so I try someday, why not? Hehe
I seriously sip a lot of its soup, small rice, more cabbage and taro, then the meat! Oh gosh i love it. I wish I can share some with your virtually so you can try it. Haha. You should definitely try that. But you don't have them in your place? Or maybe you can just make one? Ah, but the mango should be a little dry.
Oh that soup could be had here. I almost went to the filipino restaurant here today but no time work didn't allow 😔 It has been too long, I'm serious craving!
Awww, maybe when you are finally not busy you can visit there. You deserve that, go make time for you to enjoy it ✨💃
Cabbage soup is perfect for the cold weather just like today.

Looks like bulalo sis, except that you put pork instead of beef. It must be very tasty. I want to try cooking it.
Pork leg also must take long time to soften. Lucky you were able to convinced them 😁
