Ahhhhh the first episode's out? I've been anticipating this anime ever since I stumbled on its trailer early this year. Its plot really caught my attention, and the inspector's character design kinda reminds me of Kaito Kid...so I was really intrigued on how will it turned out. And upon reading your review on its first ep, it seems it is really interesting and promising. I'll let it finish first before I binge-watch it because I'm not fond of watching ongoing anime, so better to wait for now than experience watching a cliffhanger ep.

I really liked it. The plot has something different, and kinda "peculiar".
Do you know how many episodes this season will have? Or, will it just be a season?

Not really sure how many eps will it have, but mostly the usual anime has 12 episodes per season. I haven't checked out yet the source material, but it depends on the studio whether they'll animate the whole source material (if it's already finished) or just the arc that is resolved (if it isn't yet).
