Weekly-ish Running Update.... First Intervals in a While!

So I managed three runs in the last week, all relatively short, but still getting them in, and my latest was back to the track, and just a few intervals.

It's been a hot week, and it's been pretty nice getting out early doors, around 6.30 a.m. and running with the early morning sunlight, warm enough because of the mini heat wave, usually it's still chilly in mid Spring in the mornings, but not this last week!

Last Sunday's Run: Short 5 K...

Not too fast, but as long as one gets 'em in!

Tuesday's Run: repeat 5K...

Another slower one... probably 'cos this is earlier in the morning!

Thursday's Run: Intervals!

I was a bit uncertain where i was going when I headed out the door, I set off with one route in mind then after 50 metres decided on another and so diverted to the track....

I never intended on doing intervals, but I ended up opting for a relatively fast 1K around the track, not too fast 4.18 pace for the K, and then a couple of faster 300 metre sprints on the way back home, just because that's the length that the pavement network allowed in between junctions really!

Final Thoughts...

I've also got back into a little bit of circuit training and yoga properly this last week, and done some proper scrubbing of the house, spring cleaning so all in all it has been a pretty physical week...

I've had a good diet week too, very limited junk food and done well the IF.

Intervals do you good and I should do more. I like to run in the morning before breakfast to work up an appetite as well as avoiding warmer times of day. Looks like it will be cooler anyway for a while now.
