Weeklyish Running update.... back to three reasonable runs!
So I think my leg injury is OK... I'm still taking it a bit easy so limited myself to three runs last week, and one ickle circuits session (easy on the legs).
The way the week opened up it was a case of 2 outdoor runs (both 6Ks) and then a gym session - 10 mins cross trainer and then 5Ks on the treadmill, only 5Ks as I feel 10 mins on the X trainer is broadly similar to another K, maybe slightly more!
Any more than 5K on the treadmill is a little boring for me these days too (I used to do 10K on the tread religiously every Friday before the pub, man, those were some days, not THE days, certainly some days!)
Anyway.... here's another week's running...
Run 1 - Park 6K
A nice gentle out, my first full six K in at least three weeks!

Run 2 - Another Park 6K
And upping the pace, felt OK!

Gym 3 - X trainer and treadmill...

Final thoughts...
I'm not sure how long my gym membership is going to be worth it for... I do really love the faded glory of my gym (Crystal Palace Sports Centre) it's bizarre, but I need to be going at least twice a week to make it worthwhile, and that means 5-6 workouts a week total, don't want to push towards that until March at the earliest, will have to see how it goes!
I've pondered going to a gym, but it's a matter of finding time and I get plenty of exercise from running. I might benefit from more strength work, but I do some at home. Another thing to do when I retire :)

Now I'm on the road to recovery and back to three runs a week I am kind of wondering where I'm gonna fit in the gym sessions, might have to give up the membership which is a shame - I love the faded glory of the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.....
The treadmill 5Ks sound way better than forcing a 10K, feels smart to stick to what works now.
