Weeklyish Running Update.... A bit ill but pushing through and enjoying the summer running!

I have a great week's running! Despite being ill, I've just pushed on few....

Sunday 1st June.... 8K 'long ish' run....

I headed out shortly after Midday on Sunday, I had been feeling rather ill just the day before, and spent most of Saturday in bed, but by Sunday was feeling much better, still a little groggy, and this was mainly an F U to the cold!

Tuesday Intervals!

I was feeling a bit more up for it by Tuesday, so I headed out for some gentle intervals. It was raining early morning so I waited until it stopped, which meant I headed out at 9.00 a.m.

It was lovely and fresh, but I took it easy, still a bit groggy!

Thursday gentle 5K

I was once again feeling a little ill, this thing lingered a bit as I'd been told by friends that had had what was probably the same thing!

Not a bad pace given that I wasn't really feeling it!

Sunday 8th June - Clapham 10K!

I was around Clapham on Sunday with a few hours to kill on my own,

Clapham Common is such a huge magnet for runners, and there were loads of people out and about, and it was a perfect running afternoon!

I couldn't help myself, I hadn't brought my running stuff with me so I actually took a walk and brought a brand new running top, treated myself!

I headed out for a 5K initially and enjoyed myself so much I extended it to 8K, after a brief walk and then to 10K, loved it!

Weekly ish Running Update Final thoughts...

I'm pretty happy with my efforts thus far, my legs feel pretty good after what was quite a long run for me yesterday these days!

So rinse and repeat for next week! Bring it on! Love summer running!

That's great going if you are not feeling so good. Sounds like you perked up if you could manage the 10k. Getting ill is just a pain if you want to be active. I hate being stuck in bed and am not that into slobbing in front of the TV. I feel I'm making progress with my running and want to keep that up.

It was a very on and off illness, I'm still not 100% sure if it's gone!

It's nice when things are going well, hopefully a PARK RUN PB for you around the corner, or at least a GFA!

It's all just for fun, but personal bests are nice. I think I have hay fever kicking in now.

Someone suggested my bunged up Ness may be Hay Fever - I am bunged up but don't feel ill - I need to spend some time on Google!
