Weekly Running Update.. Two short runs and First Park Run in a while!

Three runs in the last week, and short runs, but that's over the XMAS week so that's OK, this was really a case of just getting them in, also did my first Park Run in a while, which I enjoyed!

Run 1: Hereford easy 4.5K

I was a bit short on time to go any further, on account of having to end at the Tesco to pick up a little Xmas present for the neighbours.

So I just picked a local route that ended thereabouts...

Run 2: London easy 4.5K

Up early, again short on time, this one was just about able to see, thankfully I have since found my head torch so I can do more early runs if necessary!

Run 3: London Park Run!

I was going out for a run anyway, noticed it was 8.30 on Saturday so thought I may as well delay slightly and do the actual Park Run in the local park I was gonna be running around anyway!

This was my first Park Run in 2.5 years, the goal was to get in under 25 mins... I did that pretty easily, happy to be starting off slowly and then speeding up,

Enjoyed this!

Final Thoughts...

I have enjoyed my running this year, and my new increased running schedule of the last month, but I think I now want to get back into Park Runs again rather than mental long runs, so i'm thinking more intervals going forwards - probs a decent mix of 400s to 800 Metre intervals for the main!

Aim for that 4.15 pace I think which would get me a 21 minute something time, I'd be happy with that for now!

I hope you can hit those times. That should put you in the top few at parkrun. I've not run for a few days, but I'll be back to it soon. Have fun!

A good year to look back on activity and perfect mindset to put in place to begin the next year. Wasn't so bad, you made it through, and now you have the benefits to stack on top of.

Each year is partially what we make it and you made it a good one.
