Weekly ish Running Update.... Going steady!

I've had a few good runs over the last couple of weeks, I've been consistent with decent times and getting out early for the most part.

I've kind of slipped back into going slightly faster, not killing myself but not sticking to my previous pet-theme of zone three heart rate, so I've been doing a 5K in around 26 mins, rather than 30 mins....

This was from a few days back... my three runs of the last week fairly standard stuff ATM...

With the 10K slightly slower and then two easy ish 5Ks....

That last one is a gentle circuits session, ave HB 119 so I'm not sure why it's red! It was all fine, easy honest!

Sample 5K....

My favourite route around Rotherwas, mostly car free which no major roads, very little chance of having to stop for cars, bikes or pedestrians...

My latest 10K...

And an even better 10K route, lovely country lane run and along the river for a few hundred metres too...

Future running plans...

I'm enjoying the three runs a week and making this part of my daily routine, I will aim to keep those, I would like to do more running, so I may add in some gentler 5Ks now it's getting lighter...

There's capacity to extend that 10K to a 15K or even more, I think I may do that too!

I think three runs a week is a good basis for fitness without wearing yourself out. Have you done a parkrun recently? I was marshalling again today, so will run tomorrow and hope to make it a longer one.
