Weekly-ish Running Update: Getting 'Em in!

3 getting em in runs this week...

  • One short 6 K
  • One stand in not so long 8K
  • One intervals session.

It's been a busy week sometimes you just have to get them in!

Run 1 - decent 6K

I'm quite happy with my new 2 laps of the park standard 6K - with my new normal just under 5K/ minute pace.

I'm trusting the Garmin here- I did think it was being a little inaccurate but if it is at least it is consistently inaccurate!

Not so Long Run 2 -

We had the cousins coming round and the Mrs' sister is a massive clean freak so I had to shorten the Run to help clean which is a bit shit but there you go!

Needs must. Just one loop of the palace brings me home in a total of 8K!

Run 3 - intervals around the park...

The same park and route I do my regular 6K lends itself very well to some intervals too..

  • 2Ks warm up roughly then
  • 300M interval warm up
  • 1K interval
  • 4*400s ish intervals.

I did have to slow down once due to oncoming dogs but live and let live it's a small price to pay!

Have you done a parkrun lately? You should be one of the quickest in your age group. I was marshalling this morning, but it's still fun to see people enjoying the run.
