Hmm there's always this conspiracy theory that if things were made to last, then the companies would probably have to close down. So most of them will just outlast their warranty period. Oh well. For me, I think one category of stuff that I use as long as possible would probably be clothes. As long as I can fit in, and it's just for day to day activities (and not some formal function), I think it's fine even if they might lose a little colour.
