Tempo run | breaking my personal records
Hi all! Welcome back to my #running blog!
I am targeting a marathon in April in my home town Rotterdam , the NN Marathon Rotterdam 2025.
Normally I would be increasing my weekly km 6 weeks out to 60-80km, but I had an amazing mini vacation with my family last week. As I just did an other marathon earlier this month I could use the week of relaxation!
Today we went back home and I was able to do a late run in the dark! While I started a little too fast so I noticed my km 2 and 3 where a little weaker so I could find my comfortable pace.
After finding my pace I felt I could push for some pr’s tonight. Breaking my 10km, 15km and half marathon times.
The run was in the dark - took the route through some unlit area’s, but as there was no rain the road was comfortable enough for a speed run!
This weekend I still have some other obligations with the kids, will definitly try to do some type of run but it won’t be my traditional sunday long run! Therefore doing a heavy training like today felt extra good!
Next week I aim to increase my milage to roughtly 60-80 km and I am finally getting my new running shoes on monday! For which I hope to still have sufficient time to break them in properly before the race!
happy running!
