Most people tend to forget that Pennies and Nickels were used to make change for our Constitutional Silver… Twenty Nickels were equal to 1 Silver Dollar… By the way… Our Silver Coins will do 10 Times better than our Clad Coins…

The composition of nickels changed from 1942 to 1945, when silver was added to their metal content; the four-year period has been referred to as the silver nickel era. Specifically, it consisted of 56% copper, 35% silver, and 9% manganese.
