Hola. Luego de un tiempo en pausa llega de nuevo mi columna “Mirad a los Niños”, así que con todo gusto les doy la bienvenida a mi blog y a este espacio presentado desde Holos & Lotus. Realmente existen muchos temas que abordar en función del bienestar de los niños, pero tenía que elegir uno por ahora, así que decidí que esta edición será especialmente para los padres venezolanos porque en este momento en Venezuela están en tiempo de descanso escolar. Siendo un poco dura la época de vacaciones también para los padres, por el tema económico, es muy probable que los niños sientan que pierden el tiempo en casa lo que puede generar aburrimiento.

Antes de continuar te dejo por acá una de las ediciones del año pasado:

¿Tu hijo está aburrido? Puede ser positivo

Como ya sabemos, la palabra vacaciones para los niños es sinónimo de descanso de tareas escolares y también significa diversión. Sin embargo, están los que se quedan en casa sin hacer nada, su mente se pone inquieta, se fastidian y hasta les hace falta la escuela porque estar en el ambiente escolar puede resultar mejor que estar en la casa. Allá están con los amigos y la escuela se convierte en el escape del ambiente solitario del hogar. Esto es solo una cara de la moneda, porque la cosa se pude poner muy seria con los niños aburridos pues pueden experimentar mal humor, desánimo, tristeza, mucha ansiedad y lo peor es cuando dicen expresiones de desesperanza porque se sienten solitarios y vacíos. Las emociones, sin duda, se pueden salir de control y no solo en los niños, también en lo padres.

This is only one side of the coin, because things can get very serious with bored children because they can experience bad moods, discouragement, sadness, a lot of anxiety and the worst thing is when they say expressions of hopelessness because they feel lonely and empty. Emotions, without a doubt, can get out of control and not only in children, but also in parents.

Realmente, es comprensible estas situaciones porque hay padres que están muy ocupados trabajando y tienen razones para vivir así, hay que ser padre venezolano para entender. Sin embargo, los niños son los que pagan las consecuencias y sufren sin saber que hacer más que ver televisión o jugar videos juegos, cuando en casa hay mejores cosas que se pueden hacer, como leer un libro de acuerdo a la edad y dibujar, eso por mencionar algo, pero los niños necesitan de compañía y dirección para que administren bien su tiempo, gestionen sus emociones y disfruten de sus vacaciones.

However, the children are the ones who pay the consequences and suffer without knowing what to do more than watching TV or playing video games, when at home there are better things to do, like reading a book according to their age and drawing, just to mention something, but children need company and direction to manage their time well, manage their emotions and enjoy their vacations.

Para quien se identifica como padre y ve el panorama desesperanzador en Venezuela, en nuestras manos está pintar de colores alegres los momentos de los niños. Si, podemos presentarles la otra cara de la moneda con actividades sencillas que se pueden disfrutar en familia. Por ejemplo, una idea accesible para poner en práctica sin generar ningún tipo de gastos es compartir juegos de mesa o de construcción, realmente se trata de buscar momentos que permitan a los niños sentirse acompañados, tomados en cuenta y esto los hace felices, en consecuencia, se divierten. Así que lo mejor es que como padres hagamos un esfuerzo y pongámonos a ayudar a los hijos a aprovechar esos espacios libres con múltiples ideas de cosas que pueden hacer en vacaciones.

For example, an accessible idea to put into practice without generating any expenses is to share board games or construction games, it is really about looking for moments that allow children to feel accompanied, taken into account and this makes them happy, consequently, they have fun. So the best thing is that as parents we make an effort and help our children to take advantage of those free spaces with multiple ideas of things they can do on vacation.

Por otro lado, resulta muy divertido hacer paseos en la ciudad o fuera de ella, sin salir del estado donde vive, no hay que hacer viajes muy largos para disfrutar de una salida especial. Pienso en las excursiones para conocer lugares nuevos, son tan divertidos y algunos no demandan de mucho dinero. También se pueden practicar deportes en una cancha o complejo deportivo cercano a la casa. Ir a un parque cercano, correr, reír al aire libre, eso basta a los chicos.

! [English] On the other hand, it is so much fun to go on outings in the city or out of town, without leaving the state where you live, you don't have to take long trips to enjoy a special outing. I think of excursions to see new places, they are so much fun and some don't require a lot of money. You can also play sports at a sports field or complex near your home. Going to a nearby park, running, laughing outdoors, that's enough for the kids.
