Sweet Spicy Egg

Ingredients:

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 block of tofu
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 3 red chilies
  • 1 piece of palm sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce
  • pepper
  • salt
  • vegetable oil
  • 300 ml of water

Steps:

  • Boil the eggs in boiling water for 10 minutes

  • Turn off the heat and let them cool

  • Peel the eggs and cut them like this

  • Slice the tofu into several pieces and fry briefly

  • Remove and set aside

  • Chop the onions and chilies

  • Heat the oil and sauté the shallots and garlic until fragrant

  • Add the eggs

  • Add the palm sugar and sweet soy sauce

  • Add water

  • Add pepper and salt

  • Add the tofu and cook until the water has reduced

  • When the water has reduced by half, add the red chili peppers

  • Cook until the water has been absorbed

  • Turn off the heat and serve
