Bubur SumSum/Sweet Coconut Rice Porridge

Hi bloggers and food lovers, today I'm going to share one of my simple and delicious iftar dishes. It has a chewy texture and a sweet and savory taste, with a sweet brown sugar syrup topping that adds a beautiful touch to this dish. Okay, let's get started.

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of rice flour
  • Salt
  • 3 pandan leaves
  • 2 liters of coconut milk
  • 300 grams of palm sugar
  • 500 ml of water

Steps:

  • Add a little water to a pot

  • Bring to a boil

  • While waiting for it to boil, prepare the coconut milk and rice flour in a container

  • Add salt

  • Stir until well combined (Because the previous container was too small, I transferred it to a larger container)

  • Add the rice flour and coconut milk mixture to the boiling water

  • Add pandan leaves

  • Stir continuously until the mixture thickens into a porridge

  • Turn off the heat and let it cool

  • Prepare water and palm sugar in another pot

  • Cook until the sugar dissolves

  • Serve the porridge in a bowl and pour the palm sugar water mixture over it

  • The coconut rice porridge is ready to serve
