There's No Such Thing As Islamophobia

We all know Trevor Noah, right? The South African comedian. If you know him you know he's very liberal and I want to use something he said to make an explanation.

Fighting Islamophobia is something a lot of Liberals have taken up, and I remember Trevor Noah once put it like this:

You know that saying not every terrorist is a Muslim but every Muslim is a terrorist? Yeah that is bullshit..
(Paraphrased)

I was shocked how he ended it by saying it is bullshit and going ahead to speak against Islamophobia. Like dude, that is quite a fact and if you don't think that is a fact one is supposed to be scared of, then...

What is the meaning of the word phobia?

Emphasis on the "irrational" part. That's usually what has to be in the equation for a fear to be called a phobia. It has to be an irrational fear. A fear that doesn't make sense.

Now are you saying that fearing Islam because of all the terrorism and barbarism it breeds irrational?

ISIS, Alqaeda, Talibans, and the hundreds of other terrorist sects out there. You must have also heard about the French teacher killed because in his teaching about freedom of speech he showed a cartoon drawing of Mohammed and another where Mohammed was naked.

After this he was tracked down and killed. Can you imagine that? According to Wikipedia:

ten people have been charged with conspiring with and assisting the killer, including an Imam, a parent of a student, and two students at Paty's school.

In Nigeria recently, in a Muslim dominated part a girl said something unpleasant about Mohammed and was stoned to death by fellow students!

This is the evil having Muslims in your population can bring. I know I don't need to list all the Islamic artacks and terrorism recorded, we all know this is a common thing.

Now how would you call someone who is scared of Islam irrational after all of these?

I am all for religious freedom, but you can't deny that the dangers of Islam are real and not imagined. Like I'm feeling like Captain Obvious saying this. No one has to be told how real the dangers of Islam is, and no amount of support of freedom of religion can change the fact.

There are so many suggestions for what to be done about Muslims, should the religion be banned? Should Muslims be avoided? Etc. These can make longer future discussions but for now let's start with not calling those who fear a group of people known for terrorism and beheading their peers irrationally scared.
