Seeking the Abrahamic God Seems Like the Dumbest Journey/Quest Ever

We've heard countless times about how we should seek God, find God and how it is all a Journey, but how much logical sense does this quest make?

First of all there is a difference between this and taking a dive into learning about what is regarded as the spiritual in a bid to expand your knowledge and find proof of it. In finding the Abrahamic God you already know the God you're trying to find and that the "holy" books, the Torah, Bible, Quran, are the primary sources of information about him.

And these books are why it is dumb to search for him.

Why? Because these books tell us about how this same God loves us with all his heart and about how at some point mankind failed him and that led to his being disconnected from us, and now there's nothing he wants more than for us to be close to him again.

The Bible especially lets us know that this love for us and need for us to be close to him was so deep that he sacrificed his only begotten son, who is part of himself, who with another entity called the Holy Spirit joins together to make a single entity - God.

And after sacrificing himself like this he gave every believer one mission and that mission is to convert the rest of the world. This mission is known as The Great Commission.

Now if this is how much he wants us to be close to him then why is he hiding and waiting to be found? Why is simply finding him a difficult task? Not following his rules or pleasing him, but simply finding him and knowing for sure that he is there?

The only important/hard part should be doing what he wants and living according to his laws and principles, but simply getting to know of his existence being a difficult thing is just plain trash.

Imagine having children who grew up without you, you love them so much and there's nothing you want more in the world than having a relationship with them but the hard part is not that they don't want to be with you or that they don't like you but the hard part is simply getting to know of your existence. The hard part is simply showing up so they can see you.

And you have all the money in the world to transport yourself to them. In fact showing up to them is just like leaving the bedroom for the sitting room. But you're not doing it, instead you want them to find you themselves even though it wasn't their fault they didn't grow up with you or knew you.

You've sent people to them and made people write about you, but the text is old, contradictory and primitive. And the people who claim to speak for you are very questionable, some of them (Priests) are even known for raping little boys, others (pastors) are known for trying different means of getting money from your children.

It's looking like you don't even exist, but instead of simply showing up you want to be searched for and found. LOL.

I know religious and spiritual matters are not supposed to make sense, but there has to be a limit to what one should accept. Not placing a limit is what would make religion ruin you. At some point you have to be like nah, it has gone too far and I'm not moving an extra inch until I see evidence.
