Being Rich is Supposed to be Very Easy if you Have God
I'm a guy without a religion and some of the best times I have is when I argue with religious people. Lol. Our arguments can go a million interesting ways and seeing the look on their faces when I talk about things their minds have never contemplate nor could contemplate in a million years it makes me giddy. LOL.
One of the recent interesting arguments I made is what I've come to talk about today. Here's how it goes.
I was telling a religious guy about how he can't be poor/broke if he had God, that God is supposed to provide him with money. He told me God wouldn't do that because God is not Santa Claus, that God has principles.
I said okay, how about a means of making money? I told him it was too easy for God that God could just tell him how a football match would end and he'll just go place a bet and cashout big.
The guy laughed and told me the same thing all religious people tell me when I say this, that God does not like gambling. Lol. And I asked him how about another means?
He started explaining how there wasn't really a means, that God can't teach you a skill or get you a job or work for you or anything like that. I had to shut him up right there with this story:
One day I went to the market with a friend of mine to buy fruits. This market was the biggest market for fruits and vegetables in the area and whenever you go there there's always too much to buy and too many traders trying to get your attention.
But when we got there, to our shock, there were no watermelons. We went round the entire market, no watermelons. The sellers said that their watermelons are usually supplied from some region and that there was some communal crisis and fighting in that region currently and the roads were blocked so the drivers who transport watermelons from there have no where to pass.
There were a lot of people who needed watermelons but couldn't get them on that day. If only someone knew earlier on of this scarcity and also knew an alternative means of getting watermelons to this market, the amount of money they will make!
And that is where God comes in. Religious people always talk about how they talk to God and how God tells them this or that. So wouldn't it have been nice if God informed them about scarcities and means of filling those scarcities?
Like:
hey so and so would be temporarily scarce in so and so place, but it would be abundant in so and so other place, get it from the place of abundance to the place of scarcity and cash out. Love you, son.
If you had someone to feed you info like this how rich you would be! But someone guys are telling you they have a God who sees all and knows all and talks to them, but he never tells them vital things like these 🤣.
The End

This was a really funny and thought-provoking post, buddy. I like how you used the watermelon story. It was such a simple but smart way to make it real and touching.
The way you questioned why someone who claims to talk to an all-knowing and doesn't know the outcome of such outting is quite funny, but can we really blame people. In this part of the world, we are too religious, or maybe i just believe it that way.
Like you said, I have heard people around that told me similar things. I don't want to say that people don't hear from God since it can't be verified, but I will say that our Instinct speaks to us most of the time.
I had a guy once fix my car in the driveway. I gave him a piece of homemade apple pie. He said God sent him the pie. In my head, because I was polite, I was thinking wtf - I made you the fucking pie dude. Not god.
Hahahaha. They're always ready to give God credit and never even contemplating giving God any blames.
It is absolutely true that just as we have a very strong belief that when we work hard, our God fulfills our every wish, it is necessary to work hard, so religion must be followed, as it relaxes the mind.
I think the religious piece is a complicated one. It’s important for us to have something to believe in, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s Christianity god, Muslim god, Buddhist god or whoever but having something to believe in helps us in a lot of ways. Not following a formal religion is okay because they are largely corrupt organizations but we do need to find out what our beliefs are and for a lot of people the organized religions offer an easy way out of that conundrum.
I do wonder about fate and things like that where if a higher power helps put things on our path somehow or if we just make choices and our path follows suit.
