Your Heart Is Begging You For This

I've been a fan of musicals for as long as i am alive. From Disney animations, to Disney weird movies and Barbie's great ones to musicals from my country, from Broadway, and some internet hidden one's as well. The thing is, they all have something in common. Music with a story and some attachment are the perfect recipe for your own romance. As a series of books i mean. Musicals touch deeply within your heart, as you see and listen to them, you can't avert your eyes. When they sing, if you try to sing along, you become them. It's a chance to live as character, sometimes so similar to you, to feel their emotions in their song and live that with them. It's a magically intimate experience. When you like the musical, of course. So as devotee for this type of shit that has to listen to a musical at least once a day or once a week. Let's recommend you some.

The first and most catching i can think of to introduce the begging eyes is one of the world's oldest stories. The Odyssey. The great and sometimes tragic story of our hero Odysseus the king of Ithaca who went to the Trojan war with his army and won so now you will see his journey to go back, which would be simple, but the road is long and there are many challenges along the way. - The musical was an internet made one called EPIC: The Musical. With its source material being Homer's Odyssey. The main actor and director of this project is Jorge "Jay" Rivera-Herrans. The book and the songs are divided in two Acts that Jorge has developed along the years, releasing parts of the songs and then the songs them selves as a combo of each Saga within the Acts. As The Troy Saga, The Cyclops Saga and so on. The entire musical and it's separate songs from each saga are neatly separated in an accessible way in his youtube channel for free. You can literally go there and see it. There were a lot more people involved in this project to help him give life to the other characters, so go there, fall in love and show your support, the man deserves it. <3

The next one's are a little bit hard to find but i believe in you.

Why not see some three villainess characters all named the same bully some people and then adopt this weird girl with some potential in to their group. Why not see this weird girl get involved also with the psycho bad boy of the school. Why not see teen angst? sadness? love? murdering? All the great things in our musical called Heathers by Laurence O'Keefe e Kevin Murphy. This is a rock musical based on the 1989 movie of the same name. It's a dark humor comedy although it does addresses some hard topics. In it you will follow Veronica who is doesn't get social hierarchy of her school and realises her school is dominated by the cool girls called Heathers. The queen bee manipulative, Heather Chandler, the greedy Heather duke, and the arrogant Heather McNamara. She really wants to get popular like them. So she helps them, and in return they decide to help her become one of them. But then our hero is faced with a dilema when one them want to bully her childhood best friend, and there is this weird hot guy pointing out how horrible this is and how horrible they are. From here on, shit hits the fan and the whole musical goes nuts. I can't say more cause i've already spoiled enough. But you know, i've warned you above. There are some adventures here if you can call it that. Have fun. - And the songs are really engaging regardless so, yeah.

I think i don't have to convince you to see Hamilton: An American Musical since it's one of the greats already, it's a musical about the life of the american founding father Alexander Hamilton, created by Lin-Manual Miranda. It's a Broadway spectacle, inspired by Alexander's biography released in 2004. The musical, also divided in two acts, details Alexander Hamilton's life, his presence at the revolutionary american war as George Washington's helper, his marriage with Eliza Schuyler, his job and his interactions with Aaron Burr, the main narrator during most part of the musical, that culminates in a tragic end. What can i say? the songs are amazing, rap like, the singers and actors are very talented, even their outfits are outstanding. The choreography, the scenery, everything its impeccable.

The last one is a recommendation of my account since it's not as famous as the others nowadays as it was in the past. The musical of Jekyll and Hyde done in 1990 based on the 1886 novel The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. Originally conceived for the stage by Frank Wildhorn, Steve Cuden and Leslie Bricusse. It's an evocative tale of the epic battle between good and evil. About a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human personality create an evil and murderous counterpart. Convinced the cure for his father's mental illness lies in the separation of Man's evil nature from his good. By experimenting on himself, Dr. Henry Jekyll creates a monster of himself, wreaking havoc in the streets of late 19th-century London as the horrible creature that is Edward Hyde. - It's kind of a social commentary of the time, since society was so based on appearances as they are today, appearing to be good, brushing your darkness aside from the eyes, the shame. It's similar to The Portrait of Dorian Gray's story in that sense. The songs are very intense, as they should, portraying the hearts of men isn't an easy task. You can see the duality between the characters and even differentiate them when they have the same voice, in any version of this musical you'll find, everyone is deeply engaged, and you can feel that when you see it. It's a beautiful tragic performance. - Off note i love singing confrontation out loud in my room while drunk, it's awesome, interpreting two people in one is wild.

I see i got too excited with this and wrote too much. Anyway thanks for reading!
