Guava Magic ✩ (unhinged)
Scientifically speaking...
Guava (Psidium guajava) is a tropical fruit native to Central and South America, widely cultivated and enjoyed in Brazil. Its pulp, which varies between shades of white and red, its sweet flavor and striking aroma make it a constant presence in various culinary preparations. In addition to being delicious, it is recognized for its numerous health benefits, making it a valuable ally for those seeking a balanced diet.
The guava common nutrition is generally 81% water, 14% carbohydrates, 3% protein, and 0.5% fat (table). In a reference amount of 100 grams (3.5 oz), raw guava supplies 285 kilojoules (68 kilocalories) of food energy and is a rich source of dietary fiber and vitamin C (254% of the Daily Value, DV), with moderate levels of folate (12% DV) and potassium (14% DV, table). Raw guava contains lycopene (table).

In a sense, Guava has digestive, immunostimulant, hypoglycemic, anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, hypolipidemic, antianemic, antidiarrheal and antiobesity properties. This is because guava has some bioactive compounds, such as vitamin C, polyphenols, triterpenes, fibers (such as pectin), potassium, among others.
Now to the true magic of the thing…
Guava may be used in various ways, and here are some cool recipes to experiment with this insanely good fruit – yes, i love guava, guava is eternity.
Aside from guava’s incredible juice, that you can mix with milk and sugar to give that creamy milk-shake substance by blending – bleeding – in the blender. Guava is also used as a sweet treat in Brazil by mixing it with sugar and heating it on the stove, it's sweetly amazing. 😍 This second dish is called guava paste.

Additionally, with that guava paste, wheat flour, sugar and butter, a culturally majestic recipe from this fruit is made, which is called mother-in-law’s eye.
In summary, you mix all the ingredients with your delicate hands except from the guava paste, make small balls, create a little hole on the center of the eye and spring a little drop of the mother-in-law’s cornea (the guava paste) on the top of it and than slide it on the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, like a gruesome god.
