Sleeping during weekend or reaching a good sleeping balance?

Sleeping more in the weekend is a synonym of an unbalanced rhythm during the working days or simply, a huge density in our life.

I was used to sleep on average 7.5 hours per night, waking up at 6am to do some meditations and some light yoga. Then, in the last module of the Yoga Teacher Camp I felt like a boost in my awareness, making me changing my daily routine.

Now I am waking up between 5 and 5.30 am to perform my daily yoga practice that lasts more than 1.5 hours allowing me to finish the most part of it before breakfast and allowing me to start the day full of energy and vitality!

Of course I am usually going to bed not later than 11pm so in this way, I ensure my body at least 6 hours of rest that and since when I started this new rhythm, also the quality of my resting improved making me far more relaxed and rested than before, even when sleeping more.

That’s why, in weekend, I may wake up at 6 instead of 5/5.30 but not later as I am exploiting weekends to perform my personal activities and projects.

For example, in these last weekends, I hosted a Congress with Mary, went to mountains to visit a couple of friends and breathe some fresh air and in the coming, I will have some courses to attend.

For me, in my case, I am very careful of my life balance to make sure that on average, I do not accumulate tiredness to grab the most out from the weekends too :D

This weekend, for example, I am going on Saturday evening to dine at my friend’s place , who is also attending the Yoga course I am holding and with whom I have a great syntony on work and other spiritual activities.

On Sunday, my mum will come to find me and Mary here in Modena, having a lunch together and spending some time as I do not see here since more than one month.

That’s why, weekends are great opportunities to perform alternative and heartwarming activities and therefore tiredness should be kept fully balanced during the working days 😃

Relaxing a weekend at the beach is the best. You really get quality time and rest there.

Yes indeed, practicing Yoga at the dawn on the beach is quite sensational in terms of energy and states awakened

I strongly agree. In the past, I would wake up later on weekends and holidays. But now, I wake up early to exercise.

Se ho tradotto bene più o meno dormi 6 ore a notte e ti è sufficiente. Io se dormo meno di 7 ore ne risento un po’, soprattutto nelle ore pomeridiane.

Esatto. Fra le 6 e 7. Domenica per recuperarmi proprio, ne ho dormite 7.
Ultimamente, grazie alla pratica yoga e tante meditazioni sento di essere molto più energico anche dormendo mediamente ben di meno del recente passato
