Bye Bye 11 Pounds

Time flies innit? It feels like yesterday I was writing about how I hit a plateau after losing 8 pounds. I felt a little discouraged at first but I beat the plateau by doing intermittent fasting, working out religiously and most importantly, really watching what I eat. The secret of losing another pound this week is weighing the food that I eat.

I got a little obsessive because I began to worry if rice was the culprit that slows down my weight loss. I was genuinely curious if I overeat the rice. I am not a person who eats three times a day, I eat twice or once a day & that would be enough. That is why I wanted to be precise with the rice intake so I could track its calorie better. In the past, I just eyeballed my rice intake and I kept worrying if that was too much but now I know what 100 or 200g cooked rice would look like.

I also eat more than 3-5 eggs/daily, mostly boiled and scrambled. Don’t get me wrong, I still eat some snacks and sweets like chocolate on the side. I do all that in moderation unlike before where I literally eat the whole bag by myself.

Other than the food, my workout has slowed down a little bit. This weekend I didn't workout an hour/day but 30 minutes to only 10 minutes in a day. I have been severely underperforming but again, because the weather was too hot, I couldn’t really workout during the day and at one point last week, I switched up pretty much of my schedule and I ended up sleeping a lot later than usual. That’s why it really bothers my workout schedule and it wasn’t optimal as it should be. Now,I am back and my body is adjusting a little to the new routine and schedule that I've built.

The pros of eating without a screen.

Eating without a screen also helps me become more productive and keeps my room cleaner than usual. So that’s a plus, the only downside is that eating becomes a lot less exciting and pretty boring. I would also eat quicker and finish my meal so that I could go back to whatever I was doing fairly sooner than in the past. That’s why, I think it’s a positive trait to foster and here’s to more days of making them a part of my routine/habit.

A Glimpse of What I ate in the week.

This week, I made rice puffs. It’s baked snacks made of pureed rice with salt then baked. It’s really good and has low calories. For those who are volume eaters and love snackings like I do, this is quite an alternative to chips that are often high in sodium and calories too.

During the rest of the week, I just ate eggs and variations of food that when I logged in, I was surprised how little they were. I didn’t really intend to eat that little but somehow, my appetite is a lot lower than it used to.

New Haircut

It feels so worth it that I got a fresh new haircut. I still have about a month to go in this 30 days challenge but so much has changed since. It’s not always easy but I am very thankful and grateful for everything that has happened lately. HOWEVER… the haircut that I am currently having is a little weird. I went to my regular beauty salon and they never fail, somehow this time I feel like my hair could have a better styling. Anyway, I might check out another place and have them fix it if it grows shapeless in the next few months. For now, I am pretty happy.

Before

After

That being said, this isn’t all over. I have around 4 more weeks to go and more power to me!

Discipline is really the key as well. It's that continuous work to achieve whatever goal there is. I remember you were wanting to start working out, did you start :D ?

Hahaha, yep, I want, but due to my nose problem, I couldn't start working out. For now, I just limit my rice intake m, i'n avoiding junk foods too and eating more veggies. Not always but I always make sure that we have veggies. I can't exercise so I just work on my diet \(^o^)/
