I think that our life has more sad, lateral moments than happy ones, so we have to make the most of them. You say that it is synonymous with satisfaction, I understand, but happiness as such is difficult to find. Sometimes we have it in front of us and we let it pass, we do not recognize it, perhaps because we always want to have it.

Greetings @lupega ,

Happiness is a synonym of contentment....let's look at the opposite..unhappiness...or even demanding people and circumstances make you happy...implying that it is the fault of others and/or circumstances that we are unhappy.

Happiness/Contentment begins with us and is a by product of humility.

This does not mean that there is not drive and competitiveness...it means when you have given your best effort...you are content with the outcome.

Happy as a word is overused in the wrong way.....which implies an elevated stimulation which cannot be sustained.

When we learn to distinguish these words, their definitions, their synonyms and antonyms....we have more clarity and understanding...and will not be misled by the wrong usage of the word 'Happy'.

Hope this assists. ^__^

Kind Regards,

Bleujay
