Watching tonight, lets see how wrong the critics are on this one? 10

Absolutely! It was brilliantly made back then! I didn't see it when it first came out, I had to wait some years. I'm from 1989 (you probably figured that already), so I was a bit too young to see it back then 😂

Beauty embodies the essence of life, and vigor represents determination. Without life's energy, vigor cannot exist, meaning beauty is fundamental to vigor. Beauty inherently possesses its own will, aligned with the highest aspirations.

Silver prices are declining amid allegations of manipulation in the COMEX paper market. Observers highlight large-scale paper trades, "price slams," and decreased physical silver availability. 🚨📉

  • A 3% weekly dip supports manipulation accusations.
  • The paper-to-physical silver ratio reportedly exceeds 350:1.
  • Despite past fines for banks, regulators reject claims of misconduct.

It is a complete scam. Banks are so short on paper they can't afford to let it run so they dig themselves deeper by shorting more. Then they go with the "too big to fail" mantra and the government ends up bailing them out. These people should be locked up with the pedophiles. But I don't really have strong feelings one way or the other.

LeoStrategy will likely hold 1.5M LEO by the time we are done buying with our initial sale proceeds along with the revenue that is already being generated by our various mechanisms

The LEO price may trade closer to $0.20 in the coming days/weeks. This will put the value of LSTR holdings at $300,000 meaning the fair value of LSTR tokens should be $3.00.

Currently, LSTR is trading for $1.45

The more revenue we generate, the more LEO Per Share (LPS) that we accrue for LSTR shareholders. With the above capital stack, LPS is 15 LEO per share of LSTR

Every revenue-generating app/service/product we launch simply buys more LEO and stakes it permanently as accretive LPS for LSTR shareholders

That 15 LEO Per Share of LSTR metric will continue to rise over time and as LEO's USD valuation rises, LSTR becomes a leveraged ETF with increasing exposure to the LEO asset. Imagine 30 LPS. If LEO is $1, LSTR's fair valuation would be $30 per share

0

one question. How does the pricing in pool get updated based on the Leo held by @leostrategy?

0
0
0.000
avatar

Unfortunately the pool is not liquid so the discount is difficult to arbitrage.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Actually, I was imagining a 50 LPS and a $10 LEO but in my vision a lot has to do with how much volume is going through LeoDex. That is $500 per share. Time will tell how the next round of LSTR sales goes.

My question is: how high does LEO and/or LSTR need to go before I can borrow against it? I wanna use @khal's strategy with his BTC. I want to keep my entire stack until $100 and just use the money while it gets there.

0
0
0.000

but what will we borrow? Sorry if I missed something obvious.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Probably USDC. If your assets are worth, say, $100k, then you borrow like $25k in USDC, pay yourself back with interest, and then hopefully close out the position by selling a small piece of the asset when it becomes worth $1M.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Better yet we get a 0% loan in LUSD (Leo USD) and never have to pay it back but pay a fee to borrow it. Depending on your country loans are not taxable income but you would have to check laws for your government.

it’s not a matter of price.
The loan infrastructure doesn’t exist

0
0
0.000
avatar

Right, but it will. At these prices, it's not really feasible. But at $10 LEO? $50 LEO? $100 LSTR? When the ecosystem has say....$500M inside of it, now it becomes a possibility.

0
0
0.000
avatar

no it still needs a mechanism built.
The value of it will not magically build this.

0
0
0.000
avatar

100%. But at a $3M market cap, why build it? It's not worth it. But when it's $500M? $1B? then it's worth building. Pretty sure Khal already has it in the back of his mind.

Desperate measures to save Intel: US reportedly forcing TSMC to buy 49% stake in Intel to secure tariff relief for Taiwan

Currently standing at 20%, the US trade tariff on #Taiwan is more than that of countries like Japan (15%).

The US have mandated #TSMC fulfill 2 conditions if Taiwan is to see any #tariff reduction:
1. Buy a 49% stake in Intel
2. Invest a further $400 billion in the US
TSMC is already investing a ton of money in the US, and is on its way to building two more fabs at its Arizona facility, with a total of $165 billion of planned investment in the US.

The US is trying to save #Intel from collapse (annual revenue freefall from $79 billion in 2021 to $53 billion in 2024), by forcing TSMC to inject some much-needed capital into the company and keep the US government's plans of a domestic #chip supply chain afloat.

Sometimes obfuscation and a disappearing act can serve as an immaculate conception

Like Bitcoin with Satoshi

With a public-facing board and now a handful of us guiding it, I think LeoStrategy can become what I envision to be a second layer financial network on top of the $LEO economy

It’s as important that it started this way as it is important that we add more public-facing people to the board to ensure more trust and decentralization can emerge with time

avatar

Yeah pool to exit will help people who want out to get out

Over time, the LP will trend with the value of the underlying holdings. Equity value trading based on the holdings value of the fund

If the fund can generate revenue from means that aren't typically accessible to a normal investor in LEO, then LSTR will outperform LEO and serve as a leveraged ETF

Lots of plans on this front. Now to execute them. LSTR will be a massive driver of economic activity to LEO

Random stupid Jongo thoughts...

Is there any way to tie the stakes together on Arb and H-E

I hate the thought of staking on one or the other to lose the benefits from either stake. And seeing that it's all one token, just wrapped versions?

Our stake on H-E for example, doesnt do anything anymore because inflation is gone? Does that make sense, or am I missing something huge?

Thanks for taking my call...

#feedback

The LP on HE still gets the curation rewards from posting, threading, and voting. That is what the SIRP is paying out. It buys LEO each day and pays the curation rewards. At least that's how I understand it. The sLEO will get a USDC yield from staking it on Arbitrum. Two different things. With sLEO, you can make a yield in a stablecoin and do whatever you want with it. For example, buy more LEO and compound. On HE, you get paid in liquid LEO from the SIRP for your curation. You have to decide which is more important to you. I will probably split mine at some point, but for now, I'm just going to keep it here and earn more LEO.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Right but the stake you have on H-E doesnt 'do' anything per se. They take snap shots of what you have, to determine what you are getting from the SIRP.

The stake on H-E has no inflation, so it's just a dynamic number that can change on a bunch of factors, not related to how much stake you have?

0
0
0.000
avatar

Not true. I'm not sure how they calculate it, but if you don't do any curating or posting, you don't get anything from the SIRP.

Khal also said on the AMA today that you will be able to delegate your LP to...I think he said LSTR.voter...and earn a daily return from that. Then you don't have to curate to get Leo from the SIRP. You get it from the LSTR.voter curation. Which they plan to do a lot of since it will be buying LEO and staking it with the HBD earned, and of course the LEO they get from the SIRP. The HP that is earned will be left as HP and then delegated to...I think he said Leo.voter...and will earn the 16% (or whatever it is). Hard to keep all these names and numbers straight. lol

0
0
0.000
avatar

Yes

The SIRP pays for author/curation the same way it did in LEO 1.0

The only change is where those funds come from. Before, they came from inflation to the rewards pool and then you got paid for author/curation

Now, LEO is bought and deposited to @leo.tokens. Then you earn from that account from the same author/curation setup

Do nothing and earn nothing. There aren’t any snapshots on HE and I’m not sure what tying together stakes across chains would do/mean

0
0
0.000
avatar

@uyobong Go back and listen to the AMA and start listing, one by one, all the ways LEO and LSTR are going to be drawing revenue into the tokens. The first 5-7 are easy. After that, you can start listing all the AI stuff that will be capturing value behind the scenes. According to Khal, that list will eventually be hundreds, if not thousands strong over the coming months. LEO is going to be a black hole, soaking up revenue and locking up tokens, compounding what it has and what it continues to earn along the way. All with a deflationary token. The greatest thing is that even if we don't buy, the Protocol will, because it HAS to. It will just keep generating revenue, hour after hour and day after day, and it will buy LEO off the market, lock it up, and then generate more earnings the next day. Genius.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Thank you.
Following up on that

Were you answering any of my questions specifically?
Which?

0
0
0.000
avatar

You said you had to give 40 reasons in 40 days. I would start with the fact that LEO is now deflationary. No new tokens will ever be minted. It's now capped at 30M. And it will burn the tokens paid in fees every time someone bridges LEO from one chain to another. bLEO>pLEO>wLEO>sLEO>heLEO. Any moving from one chain to another generates a small fee and LEO burns those tokens. Thus, the 30M tokens becomes less. Right now I think @3000 tokens have been burned, so it's not a big number, but the key is its going down, not up.

Next I would start listing all the mechanisms that will automatically buy LEO off the market every single day. The SIRP, LSTR, the pools, the AI bots, eventually ad revenue (probably?), and there are more I can't think of right now. Listen to the AMA and make a list. That should give you at least a couple weeks worth of "one a day" reasons.

LSTR:LEO is live on Hive-Engine with LSTR trading at $1.55. The value of LSTR's holdings is ~$171,000 now which means that each 1 share of LSTR is backed by $1.71

LSTR is trading at a discount of $0.16 per share or 9.35%

Over long periods of time, the value of LSTR will trend at a slight premium. In the short-term, volatility is to be expected. Buying when LSTR is at a discount and selling when it is at a premium is called Volatility Harvesting and may be something we can design into the LSTR fund itself.

I'm exploring some ideas with their team about how to execute a market maker like this which would harvest volatility and invest it back into more LEO (this is what MSTR does to drive 99.99% of their revenues from BTC holdings - aka what they call "yield")

The future for LSTR is incredibly bright 🦁

LSTR initial sale buyers are up 69% on their investment in LSTR

Yet, the current price of LSTR is 9.35% below the fair value of LSTR's LEO holdings

Wild times ahead friends. This is just the beginning of LeoStrategy aka the financial layer 2 of LEO

But how will the pool fetch the latest value of LSTR based on LEO holdings?

$LSTR continues to outperform other assets on Hive-engine.

Looking forward to a $1.69 price in the next round means it's still safe to buy as the LSTR:LEO pool will eat up the present sell wall.

Thanks, ultimatestats!

During which year was that increased registered?

I'd think it's not 2024 - 2025, as for those last 12 months the death rate has been higher than the birth rate in neighboring France (where the percentage of injected people was quite similar to the UK's, as far as I know).

That increase is for 2023, based on Worldometers data. I’m not sure about the exact birth vs death rates in the UK or France for 2024-25, but migration seems to be a big factor lately

The present liquidity looks slim.

Questions:

  • Are there rewards for providing liquidity to the pool?
  • How much total liquidity will the Leostrategy be adding to the pool?
  • What happens to the remaining LSTR supply?

  1. I don't think so. You can see LP rewards if they provide rewards, none for this.
  2. Not sure
  3. I guess they have plans, check out their latest post. They will provide some service and LSTR holders can earn more LSTR in few ways.

Working on a design that will likely be launched through LeoStrategy and allow for collateralized lending on your LEO

  1. Stake sLEO as collateral (sLEO is staked Leo on Arbitrum)
  2. LSTR gives you a loan in stablecoins
  3. While holding your sLEO, LSTR earns the yield it generates
  4. When you want to close your loan, you pay back the stablecoin and get your sLEO back

This would be another revenue-generating product for LeoStrategy. 100% of the revenue would buy more LEO and perma stake it in the fund. This revenue supports the price of LEO over long timeframes and also bolsters LSTR’s balance sheet

LSTR initial sale buyers are up 40%+ in just 12 hours since the initial sale closed

Yet, LSTR is still trading at a discount

The economic engine is just starting to whirr. The first major source of revenue will go live this week for LSTR and will be the kickstart of utility for LSTR token holders + value accretion to the LSTR shares based on the "LPS" metric

LPS = Leo Per Share. LSTR's mandate is simply to increase the amount of LEO Per Share of outstanding LSTR that exists. Right now, it's about 15 LEO Per Share ($1.725 per share).

This means LSTR should be trading at $1.725 if it was valued simply based on the funds backing the LSTR token. Buying it at a discount will work well in long timeframes

Part 1/8:

The Power of Silence and the Art of Not Thinking

Embracing Listening Over Speaking

In a profound reflection on communication and consciousness, the speaker begins with a simple yet insightful analogy: if you talk all the time, you'll never hear what anybody else has to say. This highlights a fundamental truth about human interaction—the importance of listening. When we're constantly engaged in our own words, whether spoken aloud or internally, we drown out the voices and perspectives of others.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 2/8:

This phenomenon extends inwardly as well, in the form of self-talk or subvocal conversation. Our minds are often filled with a continuous barrage of symbols, images, and words that chatter endlessly inside our skulls. While this internal dialogue might seem natural, it's a trap that can lead to a kind of mental stagnation. When the mind is preoccupied with its own incessant chatter, it leaves no room to contemplate or truly perceive the world around us.

The Limitations of Constant Thinking

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 3/8:

The speaker emphasizes that if you do that all the time, you'll find that you have nothing to think about except thinking itself. This recursive cycle can create a mental dead end, where the richness of experience is lost in the web of thoughts. To truly understand life, one must sometimes cease the mental activity that clouds perception.

Just like in conversation, where sometimes silence is necessary to truly listen, in thinking, silence is essential to observe and comprehend reality. When we stop our internal chatter, we're able to connect directly with what Kjipsky (a possibly fictional or symbolic figure) refers to as the unspeakable world—a realm beyond words, descriptions, and classifications.

The Experience of the Unspeakable World

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 4/8:

This unspeakable world is all around us — in the simplest sights, sounds, and smells. It’s the texture of shadows cast on the floor or the subtle nuances of a fragrance. These sensory experiences are often overlooked because we instinctively name and label them: that's a shadow, that's red, that's a person's foot.

However, when we stop naming things, when we detach from our habitual labels and concepts, we begin to see them anew. Without predefined notions, the world reveals itself in its pure form. The act of naming is a way of distorting perception; by constantly categorizing, we limit our understanding of reality.

The Fallacy of Fixed Perceptions

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 5/8:

The speaker illustrates this with a vivid example: when a person claims to see a leaf, our minds automatically conjure an image—a leaf-shaped form outlined in black and filled with a uniform green. But no leaf is truly like that. Leaves are infinitely varied in color, shape, and texture. This highlights how our perceptions are constrained by mental shortcuts and limited sensory frameworks.

He further quotes Izka, who said, "The five colors make a man blind. The five tones make a man deaf." This poetic observation warns of the dangers of reducing the world—and our perception of it—to just a handful of sensory categories. Limiting ourselves to five fixed colors or tones causes blindness and deafness to the infinite diversity that actually exists.

The Necessity of Stopping and Seeing

Part 6/8:

To genuinely hear and see, we must stop fixing our perceptions into narrow concepts. Only through the act of ceasing the mental habit of defining and labeling can one begin to truly hear sounds and see colors in their full depth and richness. This process of letting go reveals an expansive, vibrant universe that normally remains hidden behind our conceptual filters.

The Balance of Order and Liberation

The speaker clarifies that he's not advocating for chaos or a dismissive attitude towards everyday life. Instead, he emphasizes the importance of a basic framework of order and discipline—a structure essential for true liberation. Without some degree of discipline, the force of liberation can become overwhelming, capable of tearing apart the existing world and causing chaos.

0

avatar

Part 7/8:

He warns that the force of liberation is strong—so strong that it can “blow the world to pieces.” For this reason, a certain disciplined approach is necessary to harness the profound potential of awareness and understanding without destroying what exists. Balance, order, and discipline provide the needed wires to contain and channel this power effectively.

Conclusion: The Path to True Perception

This contemplation ultimately points to a fundamental spiritual insight: true perception arises not from endless thinking or labeling, but from quietness, discipline, and openness. By listening more and internally talking less, by stopping the mental fixation on labels, we can access a deeper, more authentic experience of life.

Part 8/8:

In the end, it’s about stepping beyond the surface of daily appearances and perceiving the world in its infinite variety and beauty—a world that is only truly visible when we pause our mental chatter and open ourselves to the unspeakable.

Part 1/12:

A Centennial Reflection: The Evolving Turmoil of 1916 and Its Lasting Impact

Introduction

A hundred years ago this week, Ireland was engulfed in the Easter Rising—a pivotal event that reshaped Irish history and echoed through the decades. But as much as the uprising marked a major turning point, it was not the only significant development unfolding at that time. This week’s episode dives deeply into two intently linked yet contrasting stories from April 1916: the Irish rebellion's aftermath and the broader geopolitical maneuvers that would redefine the Middle East in the post-World War I era.

The Irish Easter Rising: A Fight for Independence

avatar

Part 2/12:

Although not the focus of this particular discussion, the Easter Rising was an essential catalyst for Irish independence. It symbolized a collective effort to challenge centuries of British rule, igniting nationalist fervor that would persist for generations. The rebellion, which began on April 24, 1916, involved armed volunteers seizing key locations in Dublin and declaring an Irish Republic, signaling a shift toward political activism and militant resistance.

A special feature dedicated to this event emphasizes its long-term implications, underscoring how this insurrection sowed seeds for future political upheavals—culminating in the eventual independence of Ireland and contributing to the wave of nationalist movements across Europe and beyond.

Part 3/12:

Geopolitical Reconfigurations: The Sykes-Picot Agreement

While Ireland's uprising was unfolding, within the vast Ottoman territories, other significant events shaped the world's future. On April 26, 1916, the secret Sykes-Picot Agreement was signed between Britain and France, a clandestine pact that would carve up the Ottoman Empire's remains after the war.

Details of the Agreement

This agreement divided the Middle Eastern Ottoman lands into zones of influence:

  • France would control Beirut and parts of Syria, including Damascus, establishing a foundation for a future French protectorate.

  • Britain would oversee Palestine, Acre, and the southern parts of Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq), aiming to secure access points to the oil-rich Gulf.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 4/12:

  • Russia was promised control over parts of eastern Anatolia and Armenia—though this was never realized.

The map divided along straight lines, ignoring the complex ethnic, tribal, and religious realities on the ground. This arbitrary partition would sow decades of tension, conflict, and instability—effects still felt today.

Impact and Aftermath

The Sykes-Picot Agreement, formally approved by Russia in early 1916, was a betrayal of earlier promises made to Arab leaders by the British, notably in the McMahon-Hussein Correspondence. These conflicting commitments laid the groundwork for enduring regional disputes and fueled resentment towards Western powers among Arab populations.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 5/12:

Centuries later, groups like ISIS would invoke opposition to the Sykes-Picot boundaries as justification for their insurgency, illustrating how these freshly drawn borders continue to shape conflicts across the Middle East.

The Endgame in the Mediterranean and Asia Minor

Meanwhile, naval conflicts and military movements underscored the ongoing struggle for control in the region. The German Kriegsmarine, seeking parity with the Royal Navy, initiated a surprise attack near Lowestoft and Yarmouth on April 25, 1916. The engagement involved dirigibles, submarines, and battlecruisers, with aircraft and watercraft engaging in multi-layered combat.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 6/12:

This sortie was a tactical move to challenge British naval supremacy, reminiscent of the ongoing naval tension that characterized much of World War I.

Simultaneously, the German naval commander Reinhard Scheer was eager to provoke a decisive engagement, and his forces responded actively, demonstrating the German fleet’s willingness to fight. The attack, although limited in scope, symbolized the intense undercurrents of competition in the North Sea and the Atlantic.

The Battle of Kut and the Middle Eastern Theatre

Far from the naval skirmishes, the Mesopotamian front was descending into a desperate stalemate. The British siege of Kut, now under fierce assault from Ottoman forces, epitomized the strategic crossroads of the war in the Middle East.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 7/12:

Without ample supplies—especially water—the beleaguered British and Indian troops at Kut faced imminent surrender. Attempts by Russian forces advancing from Persia aimed to relieve the siege, but they fell short of the besieged garrison, which had exhausted their resources by April.

T.E. Lawrence and other British officers considered strategies to extract their forces from the region, offering valuable gold in exchange for the safe retreat of trapped troops. The brutal terrain, supply shortages, and entrenched Ottoman defenses reflected the expanding scope of the war beyond Europe.

The Warfare in Europe: Trench Warfare and Its Toll

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 8/12:

Back in Europe, the fighting at Verdun continued unabated. Since February 21, 1916, French and German forces engaged in one of the war's most infamous battles. By April, the relentless artillery bombardments and ground assaults had resulted in enormous casualties on both sides.

On April 28, German artillery targeted the village of Stavarotche and nearby trenches, seeking to reclaim ground lost in previous weeks. High losses and the brutal attrition tactics dominated this sector, with both sides attempting to seize and hold strategic positions amid the mud and devastation.

The battle was emblematic of the war's grinding nature—high casualties for minimal territorial gains—reflecting the tragic futility that characterized the Western Front.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 9/12:

The Consequences of Boundaries and Broken Promises

Perhaps the most profound insight from this week’s perspective is the recognition that the arbitrary borders drawn in the Middle East have had centuries-long repercussions. The Sykes-Picot Agreement, designed as a short-term wartime maneuver, effectively disregarded the complex realities of local populations and ethnolinguistic identities.

The aftermath of World War I saw these lines used as the basis for modern nation-states, often without regard for existing tribal, religious, or cultural divisions. The result has been persistent conflict, nationalistic upheavals, and ongoing violence—issues that continue to challenge stability in the region a century later.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 10/12:

Moreover, these borders broke long-standing promises of Arab independence post-war, fostering resentment that in recent decades has fueled insurgencies and terror groups, including ISIS, who openly oppose the post-Ottoman division.

Conclusion: War's Enduring Shadows

In sum, 1916 was a moment of intense upheaval—on the battlefield, at the negotiating table, and across a region on the brink of transformation. The Irish uprising symbolized a push for independence, while the secret negotiations and military confrontations in the Middle East laid the groundwork for decades of conflict rooted in colonial legacies.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 11/12:

The war's various theaters—European trenches, Middle Eastern campaigns, and naval skirmishes—demonstrated the brutal complexity and far-reaching consequences of a conflict that transcended mere battlefield victories. The borders drawn in these years continue to influence geopolitics, conflicts, and identities to this day.

The lesson remains clear: the scars of war and the boundaries carved out in its aftermath can have lasting, often tragic, consequences that shape generations. As the host reminds us, war is hell—and its impact extends far beyond the battlefield, etched into the very fabric of nations and peoples.

A Final Reflection

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 12/12:

While the Irish Easter Rising was a defining moment for Irish nationalism, the unseen geopolitical shifts in the Middle East underscore how interconnected and far-reaching the conflicts of a century ago still resonate. These events serve as vital reflections on the costs of war, broken promises, and the enduring struggle for self-determination and peace in a tumultuous world.

The Legend of T.E. Lawrence: From Myth to History

Introduction

Few figures from World War I evoke as much fascination and mystique as T.E. Lawrence, famously known as Lawrence of Arabia. His daring exploits, romantic image, and complex legacy continue to captivate historians, filmmakers, and adventurers alike. In this comprehensive exploration, we delve into the life, military campaigns, and myth-making surrounding one of the most enigmatic personalities of the early 20th century.

Early Life and Education

avatar

Part 2/12:

Thomas Edward Lawrence was born on August 16, 1888, in Tremadoc, Wales. From a young age, he displayed a profound interest in medieval history and military fortifications. His passion for strategy led him to specialize in military history and tactics during his studies. In 1908, Lawrence joined the Oxford University Officer Training Corps, a program designed to give students practical military training since Britain did not practice conscription at the time.

Military Service and Early Assignments

Part 3/12:

In 1909, Lawrence was recommended for work in Palestine, sending him to the Ottoman Empire. However, with the advent of World War I in 1914, Britain and the Ottoman Empire found themselves on opposing sides. Consequently, Lawrence was stationed in Cairo, promoted to the rank of captain. His initial work involved inspecting Egyptian sites, monitoring maps, overseeing printing and telecommunications, and cracking codes—tasks that suited his keen intellect and organizational skills.

The Middle East and Arab Rebellion

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 4/12:

During the war, Britain aimed to protect strategic assets like the Suez Canal and suppress Ottoman forces. The Gallipoli campaign, the Tigris expedition, and the siege of Kut underscored the intensity of the conflict in the Middle East. Amidst this chaos, British officials negotiated with Sherif Hussein of Mecca, promising support for Arab independence in exchange for rebellion against the Ottomans.

While the British were hesitant to commit fully to Arab independence—preferring to retain influence in the region—secret agreements like the Sykes-Picot Agreement envisioned dividing the Ottoman lands among European powers after the war. Nonetheless, the Arab revolt gained momentum, and Lawrence was appointed to oversee and manage its military efforts.

Lawrence’s Campaigns and Insights

avatar

Part 5/12:

In June 1916, Lawrence and Ronald Storrs supported Hussein’s son, Faisal, in initiating an Arab uprising against Ottoman rule. Despite initial setbacks—such as the inability to hold key cities and resistance from local populations—Lawrence believed that the Bedouin tribes could be effective against Ottoman infrastructure targets, like railways and bridges. He recognized that Bedouin warriors were brave but not necessarily disciplined for conventional warfare, especially with modern weaponry like aircraft and artillery.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 6/12:

Throughout 1916 and 1917, Lawrence and Faisal’s forces engaged in guerrilla tactics, attacking key targets such as the Hejaz Railway, aiming to cripple Ottoman logistical capabilities. However, the revolt faced numerous challenges: lack of widespread popular support, distrust among Arabs, and the complex realities of regional loyalties. Many Arabs remained loyal to their Ottoman rulers or were indifferent, complicating the British effort to create a unified Arab nation.

The Siege of Damascus and Changing Fortunes

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 7/12:

As the campaign progressed, British military leaders like General Archibald Murray launched offensives around Gaza, which faced heavy setbacks. Yet, with the weakening of Ottoman hold on Palestine and the gradual erosion of their defenses, Arab forces, supported by British weapons and funds, continued their push.

By late 1917, Arab forces had begun to gain ground, gradually bypassing Ottoman strongholds. Despite limited initial support from the local populations—many of whom remained loyal to the Ottoman Empire—Faisal’s army, aided by Lawrence’s strategic guidance, managed to seize key cities such as Wagh and eventually Damascus in October 1918, marking the culmination of the Arab revolt.

The Myth and Literature of Lawrence

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 8/12:

In 1922, Lawrence published Seven Pillars of Wisdom, a semi-autobiographical account that blends history, adventure, and literary flourish. The book’s reliability as a historical document has been debated; some critics see it as a literary creation, embellishing or romanticizing events to craft a larger-than-life myth. Regardless, it cemented Lawrence’s legendary status and fueled his image as a daring adventurer and strategic genius.

Lawrence’s recounting of his wartime exploits often emphasized his independence and ingenuity, describing himself as a solitary hero battling against impossible odds. His claims of daring espionage, such as disguising himself to infiltrate Ottoman lines and being captured and tortured—stories that blur fact and fiction—contribute to his mystique.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 9/12:

Controversies and Historic Actions

One of the most debated episodes in Lawrence’s history is his alleged capture and abuse at Dara. Lawrence claimed he was ambushed, beaten, and mistreated by Ottoman authorities, but some historians question the authenticity of these events. Whether true or exaggerated, such stories added to the dramatic narrative of his wartime heroism.

By mid-1918, the Ottoman Empire was crumbling. British and Arab forces advanced rapidly, leading to the fall of Damascus in October and the end of the Arab revolt. Lawrence’s role was pivotal but often overshadowed by the political aftermath—namely, the Sykes-Picot Agreement and the Treaty of Sèvres, which divided the Middle East into zones of influence controlled by Britain and France, disregarding Arab aspirations.

Part 10/12:

Post-War Life and Legacy

After the war, Lawrence returned to Britain, troubled by the post-war realities. His memoir, Seven Pillars of Wisdom, captured his complex perspective on the conflict, but it did little to emotionally settle him. He remained a controversial figure—celebrated as a hero, yet criticized for his role in Western imperialism and the betrayal of Arab hopes.

Tragically, Lawrence died at the age of 46 in 1935, following a motorcycle accident. His death marked the end of a remarkable life that had become enshrined in popular culture as a symbol of daring, romance, and the blurred line between myth and history.

Modern Reflections: Hero or Con Artist?

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 11/12:

Today, the figure of Lawrence remains enigmatic. Was he a heroic liberator, a clever manipulator, or an actor playing a role in a larger geopolitical game? Films, books, and debates continue to explore his true character.

An intriguing anecdote from 1991 underscores the enduring fascination with Lawrence’s legend. During a vintage car auction, a Rolls-Royce once owned by Faisal I was sold. The car bore the Scottish Clan Mackay crest, which was surprisingly just a motif that Faisal liked rather than a symbol of actual Scottish heritage. This story hints at how Lawrence’s legend—like the car’s crest—might sometimes be more about storytelling and perception than fact.

Conclusion

Part 12/12:

T.E. Lawrence’s life encapsulates the complexities of heroism, myth-making, and imperial power. His exploits in the Arab world elevated him to legendary status, but beneath the myth lies a nuanced man navigating a turbulent geopolitical landscape. Whether viewed as a hero, a manipulator, or a symbol of a bygone era, Lawrence’s story continues to resonate, reminding us of the powerful interplay between history and storytelling, reality and legend. His enduring legacy underscores the timeless human fascination with adventure, identity, and the costs of empire.

You're not broke because you trade daily. You're broke because you overtrade, risk too much, follow random signals & ignore risk management. Fix your mindset first—profits will follow. #LeoFinance #Crypto #TradingTips

Most traders lose not because the market is hard, but because they lack patience. You don’t need to trade every candle—wait for your setup, control your risk, and protect your capital. That’s how

$LEO Price has been steady since over 24 hours, I guess people don't have much to dump or sell anymore.

The real pump will start when @leostrategy will push the pool. That way arbitrage bots will clear the markets for us and help build support

but timing is everything, might be smart to wait until some more unstaking has happened so we don’t have to pay a premium on dumpers. Give it a month :)

I see, it's still heavy. Was actually thinking about the order book.

yeah, clearing the orderbook is easy - but that is just a spike that will be arbitraged back down instantly (1. sell of the market vs the pump 2. buy in the pool 3. sell in the market ... repeat until pool price equals marketprice) we have whole army of farming bots doing this...

So the only efficient way to sustainable increase the pool will come from gradually clearing the pool (no big batches at once due to slipperage).

You are so right about this. We should not rush it just people want "fast gains".
We need to be smart with the war chest we build 🦁

A regular job shouldn't prevent you from:

  • Investing in stocks
  • Owning businesses
  • Holding real estate

Keep in mind that a typical work schedule has a limited lifespan.

But, your assets can support you throughout your life.
