MY FIRST DATING EXPERIENCE

I have shared this story on hive before, but just in case you didn't get the memo, I will be sharing the detailed story about my first dating experience in this post.
Just like every curious teenager out there in the streets today, I have my share of experience regarding teenage love. Obviously, it didn't end well because... I mean if it did, it would have been my only dating experience. I was 14 years old, and it was after my JSS 3 (Junior Secondary School) examination or like it's often called today Junior Waec. There was this 16-year-old girl who joined my class in JSS 3, suddenly she became top of the class in our last two terms in JSS 3 which made me envious of her, seeing her as a major competition for When the new SS 1 term begins.
Prior to this, I would only fantasize about having a girlfriend but was too shy to ask anyone out. We were still on holiday, attending the same church at that time when on a faithful Sunday she worked up to me after the close of service to ask me a direct question.
Is it true you don't like me
The question she asked three me off balance because some days back, my friends were teasing me about me always pretending not to like her and I was defending myself, telling them there was nothing of such and I didn't have feelings for her or anybody which was what I felt she heard that made her ask me. Although what I said was almost true except for the anybody part.
I did like a girl in my class, but I knew my best friend liked the girl so I didn't push, plus I was still too shy to do so. Also, I never knew that my friends had already asked her out but she turned them down saying it was because of me that was why they too wanted to know from me, and knowing I said I didn't have feelings for her will obviously make her a laughing stock.

So my reply was I don't understand what you are talking about, and she was like so it's true and left almost crying. I collected her phone number from her best friend and sent her a message explaining myself; in other not to quench her ego, I lied about liking her and asked her out in the process. I also asked for her 2go username, and that was how we started dating coming into the new term as the school's power couple. At that point I was no longer concerned with trying to beat her in class so I in a way stopped trying hard to beat her in studies taking back the position I felt was mine.
The relationship ended 11 months after, when I started noticing I was truly beginning to like her, and it wasn't good for my studies as I was gradually moving down the slope in my studies. I also knew at that time that even though I was beginning to like her, she wasn't someone I knew I would like to keep a romantic relationship with. Somehow I knew it wasn't just meant to be for us so I ended everything and got the nickname HBK😂 and the rest is history...
This is my entry into the hive ghana weekly contest, you can read more about it here
Thanks for stopping by my blog today, until next time.
Love is indeed a beautiful thing, we can easily get swayed too, i pray we all find a balance someday
I think that dating on dating sites has a lot of advantages. First, it is an opportunity to meet guys and girls from different cities. For example, my friend met his Poland girlfriend here naomidate.com and they would never have met if it were not for this dating site, because they live in different countries.
