RE: Dear woman,

This situation reminded me of a single mother friend with two children I knew many years ago. I remember the injuries she endured at the hands of her husband and so my roommate and I accepted the risk and sheltered her until she got counsel and recovered. He eventually discovered that I was sheltering her but I stood in his way with a training Bokken (Wooden Katana). He could scream and yell all he wanted but if he'd just touch any of us...! POW!

Your friend was lucky to have you. I often wonder what the gain of the man is rendering a woman they claim to love helpless and even go as far as making sure they get no help. why one earth will anyone do that? It baffles me.
He was eventually diagnosed with a mental issue.
That may have got him some legal reprieve but gave her a basis of divorcing him too. My previous tenant just happen to give me notice of leaving our agreement and I immediately offered the my rental suite to the mother at a rate discounted to only what she could afford.
I didn't care what kind of upbringing he had, what counts is how we respond when we see a friend in need. God blessed me with resources, it was time I can bless others in need.
May God continue to bless you with more resources. Thank you for helping her.
