You can't imagine the laughter here at home with this emu on the coin. I never imagined in my life having an emu as the symbol of a currency.

Emus are primarily found in Australia, where they inhabit a variety of environments. But according to National Geographic, they can also be found in New Guinea, Indonesia, the Solomon Islands, and the Philippines, although Australia is their primary habitat.

Wow, now I'm curious, is it some rarity lost to history? I know most of the Brazilian coins from the Cruzeiro; before that, I don't know any.
