It will be interesting to see. I am a little surprised with all the crime you say is there. Even here, the shoplifting is rampant especially in Walmart stores that are in the less wealthy areas. Time will tell as always.

No shoplifting here unless you want to be shot by the public or private security firms. Some shopping car parks have watch towers with armed guards watching all the time. They would be vulnerable to riots like we had a few years ago and would be a major target when it happens. I think Walmart will be in middle income areas as low income areas they just have no money and no buying power. Over 50% of the country is unemployed earning $20 per month so definitely not their target market.
Oh.... I didn't know you could shoot shoplifters there! I'm thinking we should take a lesson on that. 😄
I think people are so fed up with crime these days any bad guy or girl is fair game. The private security firms do not play and if a shop is their client they will sort it out.
