Master Your Mind: The Art of Replacing Bad Habits with Positive Ones

I've seen many people getting into bad habits every now and then which effects their lifestyle and cause a lot of trouble to their careers, relationships and much more


I can name few of those bad habits that includes gambling, drugs, cigarettes, corn and other stuff that destroys their mind and body over the time as they get more and more addicted.

Everyone knows it's bad for their mind and body yet they're so trapped it's quite impossible to leave that habit

But I think there's few things that can help you come out of that misery or habits trap and we'll talk about it ahead in this blog.


The Art of Leaving Bad Habits

Most of the time when people are stuck in one bad habit and while they're trying to leave it they fell into another one

And it happens because they become depress and desperate about it

Like I've this one known person who's into one bad habit let's say using mobile phone entire day purposelessly and while trying to leave that he also started smoking

I confronted him once cause I hate the smoke that comes out of cigarettes like I don't even breathe around that and asked him why he's smoking

And his response was; to get out of one bad habit, he inherited another.

Like he meant if you want to abandon the one thing you're addicted with you'll have to get into another one

He wasn't wrong but approach was bad

Later I realised what he said wasn't wrong but the way he applied that was in a negative way which could've been positive

Instead of getting into another negative addiction or bad habit

You could simply replace it with one good habit, your mind just needs that dopamine rush and it's possible if you inherit something positive that you're interested in as much as you're with that bad habit.

Make yourself way busy for those negative thoughts

I used to doomscroll for hours on internet everyday but than I got job and from the day I started spending 9 hours on my shift

Was the day I realised it's just that simple to leave any bad habits or addiction

By keeping yourself too busy so that your mind don't take you to that room where negative thoughts belong

When I comeback to home I'm always tired and only want to go to sleep and if I don't sleep than I try to stay busy which helps a lot

it's all upto your own will

So this other day I had this other coworker and out of nowhere he asked me to smell a piece of paper

And found that fishy like it could be some dirty joke so I said no.

Some moment later he took out weird as drug from his wallet and showed me...asked me again to smell it and I was like wtf is wrong with you

Not the first time I was offered drugs, it happened when I was in 8th grade at work

Happened throughout the years, even own relatives asked to smoke cigarettes with them but refused every single time

As long as you're the one refusing to the thoughts of your mind and you're not becoming a slave of it

You'll do better in this life and it's that simple, you've made it complicated in your brain and you just don't want to come out of that trap.

Even Gaslighting helps

I often gaslight my brain into thinking I've already did this thing even if I haven't so it works fine

Learn from the fact how she gaslight you into thinking that was your mistake even though you did nothing wrong

Do the same thing with your brain and see the magic work.


Wrapping Up...

In the end I've shared all my ways and tricks of coming out of bad habits and I'm pretty sure it'll work for anyone else the same way

Just be consistent cause it's easy to fell for it over again but difficult to come out

Leaving a bad habit always seems hard and that is because we almost times remain in that environment or move to a worst place. When it comes to changing a bad habit, most times you need help from others but we also ignore that part too and think we are some sort of superheroes and before we know what’s happening, we are bad to that habit and this time even worse.
