Then answer this, who canonized the Bible you read and why do you trust these men were correct when canonizing the Bible?
You seem to ignore basic grammar when Jesus makes his statement in Matthew 16: 18-19 and either wont or can't show how Jesus is referring to himself as "you".
Even the Catholic church says Jesus is the cornerstone but you make like I have not repeated that continuously. Not one Catholic believes Peter found the church.
Sun worship in the Catholic church. Please show me where that exists in any church doctrine or practice?
The Ninth Commandment: "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor."
Do you not spread the good news to pagans?
We are suppose to convert everyone, are we not?
I was anti Catholic like you, but as I looked into all the false arguments like call no one father, I realized I was mislead.
Please, don't ignore my questions, actually try to answer them.
Oh I'm not anti catholic at all. I'm anti roman catholic church system. Big difference. I love you man, and do consider you a. brother in Christ. And pray that one day, you come out of her!
You worship the pagan day of the sun. The 'church' changed sabbath to sunday and every other church followed because the church is the mother church after all.
Nowhere in the bible does it ever mention changing the holy day from sabbath to sunday. It's not there.
My goodness, look at how much the new testament spoke about circumcision lol
You'd think if something written by God's own hand would have been changed, there'd be a bigger deal about it. But God doesn't change!
Conversion is one thing. Adopt pagan practices is another. All their 'gods' became your saints. Check out the history of how your church was actually formed. Don't just read the stuff you want to hear, dig deeper!
Is that what Jesus said to do in scripture?
Leave the church he created?
Exactly, the New Testament is clear that we do not need to be circumcised.
Pagan practices?
Read the Bible, it shows exactly how the church was formed, by the Lord himself.
If I refer to anything else, which I have with you multiple times, your response is sola scriptura.
Show me one parable where Jesus says "truly, truly"
Jesus says you have no life in you, why ignore him?
John 6:53-56
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him."
Transubstantiation....Spiritual stuff man. And that's why Christians were murdered in Rome because people thought they were cannibals lol
It's all mixed with paganism. All of it. Just like the unbiblical 'purgetory' which is just a wild doctrine lol
But why do you ignore the 4th commandment, that God starts with the word Remember? Show me in the bible, where we are to forget that day and start keeping the day of the sun?
Let's have some fun on this topic for a bit. I looooooove the sabbath talk :)
Cause everyone seems to be ok with all the other 9 commandments, just that troublesome one ;)
You are literally denying the words of Jesus in Peter being handed the keys to heaven, the bread being his flesh,
Purgatory is Biblical.
2 Maccabees 12:44-46
“It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins.”
1 Peter 3:18-20 (NIV)
“He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits—to those who were disobedient long ago…”
Matthew 12:32
“Anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.”
Why mention forgiveness in the age to come unless there is some kind of forgiveness possible after death? This implies post-death purification.
Purgatory is about God’s mercy—a chance to be purified so we can enter His presence without a speck of sin. The Bible doesn’t use the word “Purgatory,” just like it doesn’t use “Trinity”
Adventists do believe in the trinity.
Oh man...Please dont use the Apocrypha. Praying for the dead, come on lol The 400 years when there were...No prophets lol
None of that is inspired.
And now we've gone to the Non Inspired Version....Oh boy lol
Yes, we believe in the Trinity, still doesn't make purgatory biblical lol
I have an idea....How about we take one topic, and biblically go through it. Cause we are all over the place man lol And my goodness, we need to get your account able to be seen here. I'm dying with the lack of notifications.
So you decide what is inspired and what is not based on what?
This is something Christians believed in for 1500 years.
Jesus celebrated the “Feast of Dedication” the historical background of Hanukkah (from The Maccabees)
John 8:12, Jesus says, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
This resonates deeply with the themes of Hanukkah, which celebrates the miracle of light in the midst of darkness.
I am off to bed.
